There is no money velocity. Period. If you are a hedge fund you get money, if you are John Q Public you get shit. Reagan's time money was made available to everyone, to remodel, purchase homes, buy cars, start businesses etc. You can print all you want and have interest rates close to zero, but if people can't access the money there will be no "recovery".
