Details are still sketchy. But the FBI and Hawaiian Airlines confirmed a report that a 16-year-old boy stowed away on one of its planes by sneaking into the wheel well of a flight from San Jose to Maui this morning. The FBI said that the 16-year-old claims he crawled into the wheel well of the plane’s landing gear, and he said he passed out from a lack of oxygen. Never really heard of anything like this before. If the story is true, it's definitely a miracle! Hope the boy is ok. Seems odd the hospital would just release him. Edit: Reading up a bit now. Trying to find if anyone's ever survived a similar incident. There's some early balloon pioneers but they weren't this high. Would be fascinating to find the flights tracking information. I would think, if true, this story is one for the books! Prayers for the young man and his family. Not a very educated young man though. Shouldn't he be aware of the hostile conditions at FL336-38? If any foreign minister begins to defend to the death a "peace conference," you can be sure his government has already placed its orders for new battleships and aeroplanes.

If you don't get squished you usually make it okay. Lots of illegals have done this. I wouldn't doubt this happens hundreds of times a year. Most just get away.
