The human body runs most efficiently, with the greatest strength and in the best health on a diet that is 80-90% saturated animal fats. We started as hunters and our bodies are still the bodies of hunters. Agriculture was a hack that had some benefits 10,000 years ago but running our bodies on grains and legumes is like running a car on alcohol. It works, but it's not even close to optimal. And it will eventually eat your seals and gaskets...er..on the car that is. Eating grains in particular will lead to heart disease and cancer. You have been lied to and deceived by people that want you to be docile and sick. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1387669 Absolutely false. Your body works doubly hard to process meat products as it does to process organic plant matter which has the building blocks. Look at the comparison between meat consumption and health in established countries. It correlates pretty nicely. But that must just be the "best healthy diet" you speak of. Animal fats have been found to be toxic to our health... honestly what the fuck are you going on about? Everything you said is disproved by modern science and health trends in the developed world. Man began eating meat because of its inability to grow crops year round as we moved north and south of the equator, that is the ONLY reason we began eating meat. Original inhabitants of the most fertile lands ate the bounties of the land. Oh, but what's this? Sustainable agriculture and cyborg farms? Indoor growing and high tech greenhouses? Automated systems and renewable methods of farming? Seems like there is no longer a reason to eat meat. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1387669 And on the contrary, eating meat was something that we could do without huge impact on animal life thousands of years ago when we didn't have a 7 billion population. Now that we have this huge population to feed, we can't go around feeding 6 pounds of grains to animals to produce 1 pound of meat. There are other saturated fats. For example, coconut oil. I don't know if we run most efficiently on saturated animal fats as you claim, but what I do know is that there are a lot of different fruits, vegetables, and grains, and from these things there is surely something that we can eat to sustain ourselves without having to resort to the systematic enslavement and slaughter of another species. |

Automated systems and renewable methods of farming? Seems like there is no longer a reason to eat meat. Wait wait..are you claiming that agriculture came first, followed by hunting later on? Uhh huh... And health trends in the modern world? You mean like the obesity epidemic that tracks perfectly with the massive increase in carbohydrate intake? Building blocks? You mean like the cholesterol and fat that are part of every single cell in the human body? Animal fats have never been found to be "toxic" in any way. The anti saturated fat bandwagon got started by Ancel Keys back in the 50s. He made a lovely graph of saturated fat intake in 6 countries that purported to correlate with heart disease. Unfortunately for the anti-meat brigade Ancel only got the results he did by throwing out dozens of countries with high saturated fat intake and low rates of heart disease and countries like Chile with low fat intake and high incidence of heart disease. You have been lied to. |

You make a few assumptions here. One is that we should be growing grains to feed the animals that we then eat. They should be eating grass as their bodies are meant to do. The second it that the food intake needs of the human body are the same whether we are running on fats or carbs. This is not true. I typically eat less than 1400 calories a day. Sometimes a lot less. Carbs (glucose) burns fast and requires you to refuel several times a day. Fats burn much slower and yes, more efficiently. |

Our bodies are not 'designed' for meat eating in my opinion. Just because our intelligence says we can develop ways to catch animals for food, doesn't necessarily mean we should. My twopen'rth: ) |

That is pure friggen BS. Quoting: pmb1 What does 'biblical days' have to do with what this post is about? The 'pact' was broken before that. Cave men? They were not Homo sapiens. And perhaps ate meat because they had to. They did'nt have grain or rice or bread, just fruit, berries, leaves, grass and meat. |

The animals, who so loved the Divinely touched Human, agreed upon these terms. On one particular evening while in my place of solitude, I had an unusual experience and a palpable vibration that led to this expression: Quoting: Shamar ..........
