Spine monkey Offer Upgrade User ID: 39475233 United States 04/02/2014 02:43 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation	Bright Flash in the SE sky 0140 04/02/14 Central Virginia I just came back from my walk with my dogs here in central Virginia, and came to GLP to see if anyone else has reported seeing a fireball or flash in the sky. I saw a flash behind and above me as I walked home. I'm thinking the flash came from the southeast. It was rather surprising, but there was no sound, just the flash, as though a very focused bolt of lighting had struck somewhere behind me. As though someone had turned on the lights and then turned them off, not an immediate on/off, but with a pause. As the night is cloudless here, there were no strobe-esque effects to the light, no "resonance," just an on/off. It was a white flash. I've seen the green/greenish meteorites burning their way down the night sky. This was nothing like that. Anyone else??

Lightning would have been stronger, brighter; this was muted. When I wrote like a light being turned on, think a small, but strong, desk lamp going on, then off at a distance of maybe 30/40 feet behind you. This is out in the country. Nothing around to cause a light such as that.

I was walking in the woods and had the same thing happen to me. Really freaked me out until I went back to the spot the next day. High up in a tree someone had put a camera for tracking deer. Just a thought OP.

Was on the phone with my brother and driving through thE woods. When it happened I said "holy shit man-the whole sky just lit up" "my truck just lit the f up with light" I/we where freaking the hell out...lol the flashes on those cams are very bright. It turned out that some people I let hunt my land had put them up the night before...we had a good laugh about it...lol If that's not it then you had a real experience... I have had many many strange things happen in the last year or so. my eyes are pinned on the sky every chance I get... Keep looking up....matt
