Maybe this plays a role with the code?

Perhaps this language is similar to haitian creole, which would explain all the words translated?

Finally someone acknowledged my post. I really think this is the way to go - keep it simple, it's a word search, the words found provide a message. I don't think it's meant to be all that complicated to crack.

Having played along on some of these games before, the site creator will give us a new puzzle or clue as soon as we solve this one, so it'd be great to get some more help brainstorming along this particular direction.

To that end, when I look at the graphic on doomporn's site, the one with the words highlighted, they words seemed to be grouped. I.e.,

I'd say you're incredibly close to *something* I'm just not sure what it is. Do we try these words as a cipher key? Do we translate the code to Russian? Or both?

How deep does this go?

Ok, I am a little slow and cannot copy paste with colors so let me explain what I am working on while I figure out how to post it complete.

I started by looking for patterns. One of the first I saw was letters between other letters for example the first one, first line. The letters spell out "O READY JULY IS X"
I am still playing but wanted to share if anyone wants to try. I am painfully slow on a keyboard. I will post the rest when I am finished but I wanted to contribute what I have found so far. No filters or translation. Just the text. I must say though that I think there are multiple messages written in different codes.

But russian/Alaska have to have a connection....

Also, if you press the key down and move all the way over to the Alaska pin, it acts as a pointer that reminded me of a Ouiji board, overlapping the letters. But it can only point to the first three letters in the first 6 rows.

So I was thinking, maybe these 18 letters make up a key?

There have been others thinking along the same lines as you, but I don't think anyone came up with a key.

Alaska was called Alaxsxaq

X is used 22 times, Q 17 times. A rather high rate of those letters

Am probably being daft here, but is it possible that something is hidden in the map? Like in the first message - maybe messing with the brightness/contrast in the portion of the map where the pointer is reveals the key?

What if it's an encryption key? Heck, maybe the whole thing is, a 500 character long encryption key?

I haven't been paying attention to the Snowden thing, so forgive if I've got this all wrong but didn't he make all the files available and people all over the world downloaded them, but they were all encrypted?

I had no luck so far either :(

This was suggested as a possibility before, and that the pointer shows the location of the file it opens. Also the line in the binary message that reads "Store your documents in a safe" would be good advice regarding electronically stored documentation if anticipating a nuke or EMP.

I'm no cryptoanalyst, but I've been playing with the coordinates listed in the source code (39.814497,-24.151764), and when you convert them to North Latitude and East Longitude, it shows a spot somewhere in the Aegean Sea.

The first connection I made with was the carrier group that was lead by the George H.W. Bush which is supposed to be in that area. Not sure. Maybe it might relate to the Truxtun, which is the US vessel that passed into the Black Sea.

I really don't know... I looked at the cookies GLP leaves and most expire within this month, and all expire within this year. I went to the w3snoop, it's a site with info about the site (what it's worth, daily unique users, etc.).
