Maybe more like "you have to keep holding down the keys" ?

It has nothing to do with a key as in key for opening a door or so. Why have to get away from that idea.

The "key" meant here is a key you can press, as a button or whatever. But also in plural!

Hold all keys mentioned? Hold all keys not mentioned? Press every key mentioned in the order it is displayed?

This is good thinking and very much in line of where my thoughts are veering.

I mentioned this to someone over at that other site who's a programmer and that agreed that the meaning could be construed along these lines. The problem is, according to them, there is no key capture events scripted on the webpage.

This also leads me to thinking that it isn't a simple word search. I also don't think anagrams come in to play as with this large of a group of letters, you could recreate almost any work of literature extant.

We have obviously incorrect form used in the title of the page with the added implication that the message itself is telling us more than the words being used.

One of the posts I saw on that other site had a break down comparing how often letters are commonly used in English vs how often letters appear in the grid of text.

Not sure if any of this helps, but I did want to get my thoughts where someone might be able to make use of them.

The height of Mt. McKinley is 6194 Meters.

St. Lawrence Island is in between Russia and Alaska.

Seaward Peninsula

Gambell is on St. Lawrence.

Just some things I noticed while looking at a map. No idea if these can help.

I think we should start analyzing the letters more... maybe this does help.

Bolshaya Gora was the name of Mt. McKinley when it was under Russian ownership.

What does the map marker on Alaska mean? It's the only part of the map with a tag.

We're not sure. It could relate to the HAARP location, the Alaska pyramid, the Alaska pipeline, or for a yet unknown reason, the entire state of Alaska.

the marker goes to Alaska in general and not the specific spot, or so my thinking goes which is support by several valid arguments.

There is another set of coordinates in the source code that points to a place out in the Atlantic ocean near the Mid Atlantic Ridge. This could be construed to be a reference to MAR 15 in one of the original hidden messages found on the countdown site.

thing is, the site is made form a mishmash of code that's been copied from several places so it could be there randomly as people who know coding look at the source and can see that there are bits of script that don't do anything or serve any purpose.

Has anyone tried zooming the map out and using the pin like a pointer for the letters seeing as if you drag the map when zoomed out the pin moves around and scrolling down and dragging map points to different letters it might spell something.

Is there any cipher connected to Alaska?

Since Alaska seems to be a clue and we have a code, maybe Alaska is hinting to the cipher?

you can only get the pin to the top part of the letters. I do think Alaska is a clue to decrypt the text... but how?
To find the Alaska Pin you have to keep pressing the button on your mouse and drag... so maybe that is all the mystery behind the title?

With that said, the closest CONFIRMED(as in 100% true) locations with that map marker are: Denali, Bearpaw Creek, and MT MCKINLEY.

Damned if I can't help but think now that these new letters might be the key to something else considering that the title of the page seems to be saying to all of us to hold on to what we have.

I know others have suggested this being the key to Snowden's safe file or even some other archive.

Interesting that keyboard keys is referenced rather than the unlocking kind of key.

In the back of my mind, I keep thinking that the site originally displayed the countdown and some text. Once the timer finished, it changed over to the current text. Nothing happened in the world that I am aware of that coincides with the timer...so what was the purpose? What is the relationship between the timer and the current code?
