What happened to the whole crisis in Ukraine? Just poof, and its gone?

CNN is now using its massive font for the plane story. Ukraine is now just a footnote.

They've obviously decided that the missing plane is more important.

They love to tell us how to prioritise news.

The orchestrated rallies across Russia that you can see on RT special coverage page, you can read the slogan: We trust in Putin "Verim Putinu" in Russian. The slogans are so new as mass produced in a factory. What does it mean? It means the many common people in Russia don't believe the actions of Putin are adequate anymore. I don't say whether they are for peace in general or for more decisive actions in Ukraine. But they don't believe he is the most adequate decision maker. Therefore the produced slogans come to tell the common Russians who watch on the TV across the country that "the people trust Putin". The common millions of citizens don't go to rallies they watch TV to see what happens. And they know he is trusted. Good propaganda job! Only it smells to those thousands of red banners seen on every May Day manifestation in the time of USSR with millions chanting something they didn't really believe in.

It is a time for the Russian conscious people within the elite to realize that road leads to the abyss. Because Putin has nukes and more. They just can't allow him to act as irresponsible as we saw him acting in the last days and weeks. He practically left the entire European territory of Russia without air defense by bringing every available unit to Kapusti Yar for Drills. What if NATO attacked at that moment? No, he says in that way to NATO: I take my guard off, I won;t attack Ukraine, you won;t attack me because I wouldn't be able to defend the country CONVENTIONALLY". F. u. idiot commander! You risk the lives of women and children while you build up your career of man N1 on the planet! I believe NATO won't attack women and children while Putin makes himself macho. But may be a "saudi terrorist with Pakistani nuke and North Korean missile" will hit Moscow to assure excuse for the nuclear war? Go to hell you doom planners! Let the new man in Kremlin come sooner, no matter how!

The west knew they got checkmated by Russia, so a convenient diversion was created to alleviate the embarrassment.

The real story was never about Ukraine, Russia nor USA's response.

The real story is about how the mass media (controlled by who) drives the world's discussion (including here), attention, propaganda, politics and money.

Yet the sheep are still talking about Ukraine, the plane and rarely nibbles on the truth behind this.

The lies of the press in the West have been exposed. Putin has gained more popularity in the West since the crisis began.

So the West has assumed its weakness and let Russia take it all.

The regional parliament in Crimea has set a March 16 referendum on leaving Ukraine to join Russia. Senior lawmakers in Moscow have said they would support the move, ignoring sanctions threats and warnings from President Barack Obama that the vote would violate international law.

They 'CNN' didn't decide this thus the reason all the mass media stopped reporting all at once. Both the media's suddenly reporting on the Ukraine and not reporting illustrates the power of propaganda.

The Ukraine story effectively ended on Monday - of last week. Since then all the reports of ultimatums and military threats resulted in nothing actually happening.

I have said from the very start. They are NOT going to war over something like this and Ukrainians are too worried about how they look to actually take up arms.

Distraction,distraction, distraction. I'm not sure that it's over yet. Are there substantial resources in Western Ukraine or just in Crimea? I suppose that it's possible that Russia got the natural resources & the Gas pipeline route from Crimea, the EU got another Member, the US/Federal Reserve now has the Gold & now it's on to the next level of their game but it sure doesn't smell right. We had a similar build up & drop off in media coverage with Syria & now we find out that, while quiet, it was far from over & the Gov has been keeping it on the back burner, so to speak.

I was never distracted by the Ukraine once, i apart from now, never bothered reading or commenting on any of this bullshit once. I laughed when the media started a frenzy over North Korea 14 months ago, work colleagues were fearful of a nuclear attack, wow, i felt so sad and disappointed that people are so fucking gullible, but not once did i comment on that either until now.

Is it so bad to say i really don't care at all what they do on the world stage? No. Like Insider13 stated, do not pay attention to these types of sideshows, you'll be better off for it - just like never watching a Tv set.
