That will not happen during the current status quo in the world. First of all, Putin for 15 years in office disbanded a lot of military units and poured all in building new missiles and subs. That speaks of what kind of war the guys is preparing. At the same time he was good in concert halls but not as good to win even one regional war. Georgian war quoted as success for Russia, turned to be a mass withdrawal from Georgia at one point, leaving intact the government. Putin is not the military guy of Russia with the necessary skills. What we see now are absurd after absurd. Bringing half of Siberian army to order it back several days later. To invade Constantinople? Not this guy! Not in this way! NATO would laugh at that and would send 12 more jets in the emptied space.

Russian elite must realize that they don't have long term interest of creating a dynasty of Putin. They had that period during Tsarist time and they failed. Putin is not at the level of the USSR leaders either. They were commanded by all powerful Politbur. Putin shows he rules alone. of course not alone. The precedent Putin is dangerous. The sooner Russia finds a better man the better for all. They may crown Putin as Hero of the Russian Federation to award him for all he did. And that is all. He must leave place to someone with fresh mind and ideas.

It is absurd the inconsistent policies of Putin to lead to any major success on international arena. He nearly lost in Georgia, OK he won Ossetia and Abkhasia but nothing more. He lost the entire Ukraine but Crimea. He is incapable of being commander in chief of a nuclear power. What if that man decides to do something with nukes? Day one he pushes one button, day to he cancels the order. The attacked country will revenge with thousands of nukes (presumably it is USA). A new man in Kremlin with a new team will restart all over international talks, treaties and so on. He will define clearly where Russia stands at and what is it Russia wants, in exchange of following int. rules. Today you don't know what Putin wants, do you? I don't advertise any name. In another thread I was accused to advertise Shoygu. Not that way. The new man should have the support of the major power holders in the Russian society, one of which is of course the army. He will get the usual support of voters. People tend to vote in Russia for the powerful man. That showed the story with Gorbachev and Yeltsin. What is not told us not before 2011 elections that at least the parliamentary elections were fraudulent to extend of victory shifted towards United Russia. After the scandalous revelations in Dec. 2011 Medvedev should resign and not be appointed as PM after his presidential term ended. That is another absurd that switching of places between Putin and Medvedev that technically might be correct but bears all negativity from the rest of politicians. The Northern Fleet didnt cast a single vote for United Russia in 2011. I can talk more but it is not needed.
What I want to underline is the new man even if general does not mean a harder line of Russia. It means a clearer line and stability for the world. To avert the worst. And the worst is to have the next Christmas in bunkers for those of us who survive it.
