Re: Prayer Request!
thank you so much it means the world to me...sometimes its easier making our requests known on the internet..some well meaning Christians can sometimes be judgemental at the least and drug addiction, especially heroin is not a pretty sight, her dad and I are torn when she comes over and is dope sick from not having any drug. God will direct me to an in house rehab I hope. again, thank you so much and god bless, caged angel

I understand..it is a shame that those that are supposed to not judge, tend to judge...but, I suppose we all do it from time to time..
I will continue to pray for your family and for the strength it will take to get through this..also for your daughter to find the strength to stop this addiction and be free, once and for all!!

You accept the love you think you deserve~~~

Love cannot live where there is no trust~~~

Truth has no temperature~~~

Love like it's never gonna hurt~~~

Have no regrets~~~

Prayers sent up for you and yours...God Bless you in this trying time..

my heart goes out to you, as well..it is heartbreaking when we see our children doing harmful things to themselves and we feel powerless to stop them..

Stay strong, my friend..trust in the Lord with all your heart.

Interesting. That's how I came to surrender to Jesus, through an addiction.

Re: Prayer Request!
God bless you and your wife and baby. Wow, can I relate to this one. My son was actually born late, after a somewhat complicated birth, and with rapid breathing.

Long story short, he responded IMMEDIATELY to the first drops of breast milk, which were introduced into his NG tube.

I truly hope your wife can use a breast pump to capture milk as soon as possible. It has an enzyme that matures the lung.

Please ask hospital staff to help you with this, or a local La Leche league volunteer.

God be with you, and you will certainly be in my prayers.

He is off the CPAP machine, he is off the IV, and his breathing and food intake is above average at this stage! Doctors said he could come home as early as tomorrow!! Praise God and thank you all for getting it done!

It has been a hectic week+ but it has taught us many, many things!! Thanks again and I will let you know as soon as he is home with us!

To the person who negged Op for caring about his child as he was helpless...

Have you ever been helpless watching your child at the hands of the doctors?

It goes way past a “trust in science and medicine” as you put it. As the doctors make mistakes you have to keep faith and watch, the entire process is out of a parents hands. So you put your faith outside your own hands and ask for help.

I’ll never forget the first time I was put under, I said “doctor my life is in your hands” and he said “no, your life is in god’s hands now” and he put me under and cut me apart. What he meant was he was just doing the job and we need faith on the results.

To look at a child helpless....no words can express that situation.

So we have faith and I hope most of you are never in that spot where you need faith to pull you through what you see before you.

To ask for help is honorable and human. What is a man to do...

I'm only human, it's my biggest flaw.

We must all realize a sink a chair and a pillow are all luxuries of home and a soldiers helmet takes the place of all three.

Thank you for that, friend! I guess I just have a hard time trusting fallable man overall. Whether it be cops, doctors, teachers, politicians, judges...well I guess just about anyone in a position of "authority".

I suppose it stems from knowing my own failures and shortcomings, so I have really hard time accepting that I have to trust another person, that is likely just as capable of making a mistake as I am...

He will be just fine, my daughter was born also at 36 weeks. She didn't have trouble with breathing but did have trouble eating (gag reflex not developed). They catch up quick! Best of luck!

That is great news UAP. My grandson spent 2.5 months in NICU having been born at 6 months and weighing just 1 pound 14 ounces. He is 20 months old now and has never missed a beat! They named him Noah after all he had been through!
