I hope you get to hold and cradle him in your arms enough... They need that bonding and love from their parents it's so important for healing and when you can't, I pray that the angels will be holding him in their arms.

However, addressing your concerns, one might ask if you have done anything to deserve special treatment from the Universe? Have your thoughts or actions set anything beneficial into motion? Do you recognize and appreciate God's "sweet and tender mercies"? Are you practicing finding 4 or 5 things every day to appreciate and be grateful for? When was the last anonymous "random act of kindness" you performed, and what was it?

Do you smile, even if you don't really feel like it?

No need to answer, except to yourself. Sometimes a period of self-evaluation can be constructive.

i'm sure he will be fine.....nurses in NICU tend to stay in their jobs in NICU bc they see their patients get to go home.

it would have been dangerous for your wife to continue with the pregnancy with BP like that....both for her and your new baby.
