You sure its the whole town? Can't find anything about it anywhere. No mention of a blackout in Morgan City.

no outage as of yet indicated...

It happens some times. Happened here in my small town a while back in Washington. I asked a sheriff how widespread the outage was. He said he didn't know the electricity was out. I wasn't sure which one of us should be feeling stupid.

Anyway, sometimes things just break or need worked on. So far it always comes back on.

i hope it is not one of those big transformers? at a substation
blown.

it happened here a few years ago, the whole town did without
power for nearly a week. those big electrical parts take
a while to ship in and install.

Sorry yall I ended up going to sleep. Someone hit a utility pole and that's what caused it.. it was technically the whole town but not all of Morgan City.. it's a tri-city area, it consists of Morgan City, Bayou Vista, Amelia and Bayou L'Ourse.. they're all physically "morgan city" but not technically, anyway it was just Amelia that lost power, but it came back on
