Oh, and Jesus was created before then. Read John's opening lines. It states that Jesus was created BEFORE our universe was created, and dwelled with God in Heaven before He voluntarily came to earth in human form. (Demoted Himself by heavenly standards for our benefit.)

then ponder this:

If the letter J wasn't invented until the 1500's, then how is it possible for there to be a "Jesus"?

The letter “J” wasn’t invented until the 1500’s, so there was no official Jesus, John, Jacob, Jonah, Joseph, Jude, etc… in the bible.

There may have been a person by the name of Yeshua ben Yosef, but this is debatable as well because the translation means “Joshua, son of Joseph”, not Jesus.

Some may say that his name was spelled with an "I" instead of a "J" (more specifically Iesous or Iesus), but that still doesn't make him "Jesus".

... and do you really think there was some dude named "John" in the middle east back then?
 Quoting: in5d

Semantics. Jesus, Jehuhusha, Christ, Christos - it all refers to the same person. Does it matter if a different language says it in a different way?

Not really.

Perhaps this is nothing more than "The Royal We." It's traditional for royalty (and I suppose gods) to speak this way. For instance, Queen Victoria might have said:

"We are very pleased to meet you (you dead common scumbag), and shall be pleased to make our palace comfortable to you during your visit (after all, we built it using the wealth we stole from your labours).

Really? Doesn't EVERYONE know this wasn't their Hebrew names?

Do at least a little research, first.

During translations, names are often changed.

For instance, if I moved to Spain tomorrow, they would change my name to their equivalent translation.

This is what happened when the King James scholars translated names from Hebrew into then-modern English.

Moreover, "Jesus" has many names;

The Fisher of Men

The Good Shepherd

The Son of God

Emmanuel

Jehovah

The Messiah

The Lord

Savior

Yahushuah

The King of Kings. The Throne of Thrones.

The Healer.

The Bridegroom.

And on and on.

They are all correct.

And, even then, He has his true name, the one God gave him, written on a stone, which we will never know.

Jehovah's Witness conception wins out again...

Clearly, the trinity is a nonsensical Zeusian framework found in almost ALL ancient religion.

To hold onto the trinity at this point is just tradition.

(no offense, truly!)

Obviously, Jesus is God's 'master worker' (Proverbs 8) through whom all things were created.

Re: Religitards, think about this: 'And God said, Let US make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness'?
It is blatantly obvious that religion has been teaching either half truths or full out lies, right from the start. According to the Christian bible, God created Adam and Eve and told them to be fruitful and multiply.

Based under this premise, we would all be the products of incest.

There are four different blood types (A, B, AB and O) along with 2 different Rh values (positive and negative). It is literally IMPOSSIBLE to have 4 different blood types and 2 different Rh blood values all originating from Adam and Eve, yet people happily accept this as the truth without ever questioning their human origins.

The bible dates back to approximately 6,000 years ago. Assuming God created everything at that point in time, then there shouldn't be any fossils older than 6,000 years of age.
 Quoting: in5d

(1) They STILL cannot explain the O-neg blood type to this day, except by looking at the Bible and tracing the introduction of a hybrid species (nephilim).

However, desperate, highly-speculative bids continue to arise from the 'scientific community" in order to explain this anomaly.

(2) Hebrew law CLEARLY delineates the period of time in which incest became unlawful. Prior to this, incest was, indeed, the norm, and allowed by God's law.

The Egyptian royal bloodline carried incest well beyond this allowable period, which resulted in disaster. Later, the Europeans followed this same route, during the last millennia, and they ended up being a bunch of bleeders. Most recently, the Rothschilds and 14 other families attempted to create a "superior reincarnation race" by interbreeding. Their offspring did not survive after the third generation, as per God's decree.

(3) The original bloodtype appears to have been O. The articulation into type A and, later, B, can actually be quite easily explained. All of these variants, including AB combined blood, are not surprising. Again, what IS shocking is the appearance of Rh-negative people.

RH-negs shoot the idea of evolution straight out of the water.

It NEVER should have happened without outside influence.

But it is here. And it is related to red hair and very, very tall stature.

Sound familiar to ancient writings and archeological finds?

Jesus Christ existed in eternity as THE SON, before He became a man through Mary in the virgin birth.

Read John Chapter 1.

The Word BECAME FLESH.

This is God The Son, becoming Man as Jesus Christ.

This is the Word of God in the Flesh = Jesus Christ.

Actually? No.

Monarchy was the government of the day and Kings and Queens were always referred to in the First Person plural. Even since the times of the Hebrew Torah, God and his appointed Kings were referred to in this manner.

(Damnit! The Hebrew characters don't post correctly. Am I the only one who has multiple languages installed on my computer?) [link to www.mechon-mamre.org]

26 And God said: 'Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.'

27 And God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them.

To the person who started this thread, you 'born again atheists' rely on just as much faith to not believe in god and will use any desperate attempt to try and interpret the bible with reckless disregard for its true meaning.

Jesus was predicted before time, Jesus is god, so hence god was talking about 'us' and 'our' to denote the trinity.

Very easy to understand when you know christian stuff.

Yes, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, sir.

AKA: the Trinity...three distinct personalities, ONE GOD.

You're not a Jehovah Witness being lead by the Watchtower, or as I've always called it, the 'ALL Seeing Eye'.
 Quoting: Somebody.... 1189609

Genesis is the creation myth of the Jews. The Jews do not believe in a trinity. The Christian interpretation of this verse is wrong because its English translation is itself incorrect. It is not "God" (Hebrew: EL) but "Elohim" (Hebrew: Alhim), a feminine noun with a masculine plural ending. Elohim is one of the Names of God, like El and Yahweh. It expresses the multiplicity of God's Creation. So it is a plural subject that is correctly maintained grammatically throughout the sentence but falsely translated in the King James I version of the bible as "us" and "our". This problem is a pseudoproblem created by a false English translation of a Name of God that is plural in its Hebrew form.

Sorry. Fail.

All it takes it just a little Bible study to know why that phased was worded in that manner.

This particular "example" was made popular by Jordan Maxwell, who has been thoroughly debunked by now. See below.

You have very bad intentions trying to spread this to others.
