I get there and there is a sign on the door that they have moved, with a map to show you how to find them. So I take the map and follow to get to the new station, get there and there is a sign that they have moved again, so I follow the directions. Get to the new station and there's 50 or more people, so I wait my number, get there and I end up with a temporary licenses because I didn't bring my birth certificate! Well, I have been driving for 50 or so years and now I have to show them my birth certificate? I had my insurance card, my tax notice, but that wasn't enough. I'm in Indiana, and they sent me an e mail because I'm signed up with my BMV. com or whatever and said that if I renew my license online and avoid the rush at the local office they would cut me a deal and renew them for longer than the standard 4 years...so what the hell, I did it. They mailed the license and never said anything about the current valid one, so I guess they don't give a shit...Indiana is cool about stuff like that, we are a conservative state and don't have sand up our ass like liberal states do. I never forgive and I never forget I am a licensed firearm holder. I will, under protection of law, use lethal force if attacked.  |
