I think it's in progress as we get more and more crap from overseas measured in metrics. I'd have to get a handy converter to take with me everywhere otherwise I'd be out to pasture trying to figure it all out.

When gas shoots up again I figure he will executive order metric system so gas will seem cheaper and he'll call it keeping up with world standard or some bullshit.

We know from experience in Canada that it is just a recipe for a fucking. All of the sudden people don't know how much a gallon of gas costs when it's measured in litres. So the gas companies can jack up the price wildly and the average idiot can't figure out he just got fucked.

Same thing with meat. Everybody knows how much the pay a pound for hamburger. Start selling it in Kilograms ans you cause confusion. When the customer is confused, you fuck him in the ass before he figured it out. That's how business works.

All that and more is exactly what happened in Canada when we made the switch.

There are only 3 countries who still use the outdated imperial system. U.S.A, Liberia, and Burma. nuff said lol
