With all of the children who have been molested by the church, it is evident that this behavior is encouraged from the top.

I wonder how big this story will be in the coming days...

I hope there is more done to protect the kids put in danger. The revelations we constantly hear regarding things out of the catholic church clergy is frightening.

They defile the most vulnerable and rob them of innocence. They go through life carrying a heavy burden of the abuse inflicted on them by those who are supposed to protect them.

I was beginning to wonder if this news story had been restricted here as I've not seen a thread about it on the main page all day (I missed the brief moment that this one was)

This story is a big one on the world stage - it's literally the first time the Vatican has been taken to task for its brutal crimes, and allowance of crimes, against humanity. The UN cites "tens of thousands" of children sexually molested at the hands of catholic priests - that should make any human ill and nary able to breathe... yet, take a look at the main page and see how many folks here are trying to 'convert' people into this cult! What, tens of thousands of children's lives ruined isn't enough?

Seriously, how do we expect to evolve when we still allow this inhumanity to thrive?
