he knew you can pull electricity out of the ambient temperature at your own house with a collector, he wasn't gonna shoot anything anywhere, his idea had an energy collector at your home(not a residence), own your own. The powers that were, saw no residual money in it, so he came up with the supplier model.

The corporate consortium running a thing like this would be able to know the exact location of every device connected to the service in real time as well as the device history of browsing. It would also be able to execise instant worldwide censorship of any website without any means for users to bypass it.

So if I had to think about what would be the ultimate orwellian surveillance and censorship system, this would be close to it I guess.

Search engines already have a handle on this to some extent.

Is your average wifi device able to broadcast a strong enough signal to reach space? Or would this turn out to be a scam in that you have to suddenly spend 8 thousand for a device that right now costs 200$?

Impossible. You cant request information without broadcasting your request.. So you arent talking about wifi, but digital radio, basically

This is nothing more than a BS scam.How is this service to be financed, advertising? How do they build and launch these satellites then offer the service for free? Please donate to the cause.

The internet is a two way communication between your pc and a server, if you arent broadcasting, the server will time out and nothing will happen.

Since it can't be wifi if it's not two way, everyone would have to buy whatever new tech is put out to receive this read only digital broadcast, and this would be a sort of hard-coded text book they beam at you, like on a tv screen, which is a pretty wasteful use of satellites, with little to no financial benefit.

television broadcasting was free for years and still is , unless you have cable.

Internet is a marketing tool and should be free if you buy the receiver... Computer..

There is not cost for radio wave internet devices.

no land lines ,etc ... just a few workers that get paid from marketing fee's.

all you need is a radio receiver modem , and a few amplification towers located around the globe .

The closer you are to a tower will dictate the speed of the internet ... but even at 5000 miles away you could still use the net.. data transfer is a lot different then transferring sounds waves. data packed into a radio frequency will travel the planet at the speed of sounds , and take thousands of years to be lost.... Once the radio modem picks up the data , it unpacks it and processes it as normal.

It is also safer , we are surrounded by radio waves anyway.just need to pack the data into a frequency.Data also will not override the sounds waves if somebody is using that frequency for radio etc.

What about upload? Your retail wifi antenna is not going to be able to send requests to space. It would be more of a receive-only type deal like TV. Your wouldn't be able to browse to whatever site you want. Only what they decide to send you.
