Thank you for posting this, DoYouSee. It isn't often that we are able to "meet" one of our GLP friends, which makes it even more difficult to say goodbye.

I'm new here but all my best to Jeffry's entire family.

A beautiful reminder of the fleeting nature of life. Seemed like Jeffry embraced his life and lived it with an open honesty that drew people to him.

I've tried to put his death out of my mind but things keep reminding me.

Like yesterday, I got my "marrow donors card" in the mail.

Brought tears to my eyes.

And no we weren't friends outside of GLP or anything, I just put alot of energy into his recovery. In a weird kinda way I felt betrayed by "something" when he passed. It's probably just my own fears being transposed onto the whole situation.

Everything seems so out of control and his living on was one thing I thought I could influence positively.

He's in heaven reading this saying... "what a moran".

Following his illness was one of the most heart-tugging threads ever.

So, so sad - and provoking so much thought. Like about strength, as we watched the conventional medicine saga play out, as it repeatedly does, feeling helpless.

Yet we wonder, would we be strong enough to resist the pressure ourselves of going the conventional route? Would we actually advise a loved one to shun conventional cancer treatment? And what of the consequences, IF death occurs anyway, and we advised against the doctors?

Throughout Jeff's battle, I watched the same battle going on with a young vet who had colon cancer. The couple had just had their second baby, when this occurred. He too, followed the conventional dictates, and passed shortly before Jeff.

We watch this over and over, with our loved ones. I do think I would choose NO conventional treatment at this point in life, for myself, after observing so much heartbreak.

Wow...that brought tears to my eyes!! Jeff was a very lucky man to have around him all those people that cared for him!

To his Family, he is not gone, but in a new place waiting for the rest of you to come and be a Family once more (in your own time).

I went to the site.The last picture in the video is also there.That is one of the most heartbreaking photos I have ever seen.So sorry to the family.

oh my Dear God this was heartbreaking. His wife is so strong just reading her blogs and watching this video she truly truly was his soulmate, the polar bear made me chuckle though and what really brought tears to my eyes was seeing all the people who went to him from the website, just beautiful. Strangers showing up and showing love for him. So many kind people. God is great.

Jeff was the very first person I was brave enough to post to, back when I was an AC. I miss seeing that silly avi of his. A lot of people thought it was demonic, maybe it was. I just thought it was kind of cute, in a comic book kind of way. It always made me smile, maybe because I knew the person behind it.

Miss you kiddo.

Hunting for food isn't the same thing, but I wouldn't expect that to be understood.

He DIDN'T ignore the advice or the posters that gave it. His cancer took him too fast to try many of the things. He answered and researched as much as he was able.

You know the old saying about not judging someone before you walk a mile in their shoes? My mom has a little different take on it. Don't talk badly about someone. You have NO idea how you would handle the exact same situation.
