$10K is very reasonable for a case like this. They aren't corrupt. They're just trying to make a living like everyone else.

Your best bet is to get a lawyer. I got one when I knew I was innocent as hell, yet they wouldn't allow me to be alone with my kids. My son had a cat scratch on his hand that got infected and a teacher swore it was a cigarette burn. So CPS got involved. I came really close to getting put in jail for a cat scratch and the worst part was that Dr. Champion told them I was in there 3 days before with a cat scratch on his hand on that same spot. After 20 days I got me a lawyer, and the lawyer threatened to sue the crap out of the state they never bothered me again. I lost so much time with my youngest child, she was just a year old.

Now the scary part of this whole thing though is that I was told by my lawyer that the state of North Carolina gets paid $25,000 per child that they remove from their family, by the US government. That does not include what the state gets paid to take care of them in foster homes, that is just the states cut. This is why I tell folks all the time get a lawyer the minute that CPS gets involved. It cost me $100 for the lawyer to give the CPS a warning but I got peace and quiet, and I got to be with my kids.

now.....the feds pay the state - the state pays the county, the county will pay an agency.....(some counties dont do agencies)

in the case of foster care, the present reimbursement to state and local government for each child taken into foster care is approximately $6000/month. yet the avg foster care provider (the foster parent) receives only somewhere around 600/month.

follow the money peeps - oh and i forgot to mention - IF the kid has a diagnosed illness that 6k will jump to 8-9 sometimes 10k.....in pmts from the feds....thats pure profit

and those group homes - u ever see them inside? they look like drug dens. bare minimum in them.

and the facilities (residentials) they only get like 12-1500 a month for the kid.

thats why theyre takin kids.

All I have been able to do is pray. The CPS and Family Court systems are money making machines that keep corrupt judges and lawyers in business. The welfare of the children is not really uppermost, and parents are stripped of all ability to determine the medical, spiritual, and even emotional welfare of their children. atty wanted 5k down and pay the other 5k as we went......my friend didnt have it

i prepped the entire case witnesses, documents et al.....the atty took 2500 for the trial.

i wasnt at first allowed in courtroom (juvi case) but atty told them i was her asst't as shes heating impaired (so am i)i was granted access by judge.

my closing argument (written for atty) was a masterpiece. im proud of that fucker too.

it was a stellar case - hole proof. we rocked that courtroom. and man lemme tell ya - lebanon county, the police, detective and this black chick/cps.....so pwnt.

im now on the attys investigations source list (she calls me whenever she needs a case lifted - i do it for "comp" time. if i need an atty its paid for)

so when i tell ya attys here in pa suck the proverbial cock you take it as gospel.

theyre even throwing criminal cases here - my atty admitted it. theyre being TOLD TO.

emancpation is a little more than simply saying he or she IS an emancipated minor.
depending on your state's laws you might have to prove their income,how they support themselves on and on and at 15 ?

The only other option would be to physically go where she is, pick her up by force if necessary and take her back to Idaho. PA would no longer have jurisdiction over the child at that point but they could then extradite OP for kidnapping. Also run the risk of losing the other children in Idaho if ID authorities hear about it. I certainly don't recommend this course.

They can take her away because mental illness obviously runs in the family.

Saying shots are poison is a clear sign of mental instability, and saying your family has a history of mental illness places the last name in the coffin.

now the caseworker he went thru - i knew her. shes a snake in the grass like the rest of them.

"M" was desperate, they were telling him he "had to move here" - he just wanted temp guardianship til the kids could get placed back with his sister. not full custody - just temp guardianship. and he passed all the requirements.
but hes denied. - denied bc the county "says" he has to move here. /eyeroll & bs

i had mark go thru an agency there in his state to get approved for KINSHIPcare.

took 3 months. then i had him have his agency contact dauphin county for the kids. the county had no choice but to relinquish the kids to "M". there was a court hearing of course.....but thats how ya do it. they got 'transferred' to Mn cps

pa law says that every effort must be made to place children within a familiar fostered setting, be it immediate family, a relative or even a neighbor <--yep. every effort must be made to keep the kid(s) in their own school district too. *if family is out of state, they must be considered as a priority to be in state compliance with placement.

so you hafta utilize their own laws/rules against them, and im gonna instruct the op in what she has to do, and tho they denied her bc of her homestead....i have a trump card.

I have heard of foster kids as young as 13 getting out of the system by running away of their own free will.... Doesn't this young lady have the right to leave by her own choosing since she is 15 and she able to make choices about who she wants to be her guardian?
