Re: INCH (I'm Never Coming Home)Equipment Categories / BOB-Bug out Bag - FEMA Rejection Pack
For water purification look into distillers like
"the survival still" that nest pan between boiling water pot on bottom and a cold water pan/pot on top to condense the vapor from the bottom pot.

A Simple hole in the center of a pan with a raised coupler with nothing attached will let the vapor through, and keep the distilled water from dripping back into the boiling pot on the bottom. a small drain hole with copper tube sticking out of the collection pan side near the bottom will let the condensed water run out to be collected.

Distillation will kill parasites and remove particles but it may not remove liquid contaminates so if time allows you should run your distilled through a Gravity Water filter with Carbon Activated Charcoal, or at least a good Sand/Coal/Grass type filter.

So you run away from your home and neighbors to trespass on others.
That makes you no better than those you're running away from.

Of course none of you reading this dare ackmowledge that by running away you are forcing others to save you and themselves which guarantees that the opposition not only displaces everyone but benefits by controlling access to technology and infrastructure while you jack rabbits have no option but to fight for shelter among yourself in some barren exposed wilderness.

Whne the poo pular accepted tactic is to leave everything of value in your lives behind, exactly where and when and how do you think you will replace any of that or generate some realistic capacity to resist.

Running away is just what an enemy bent on taking over everything of value wants you to do.
What they dont need is anyone standing against them tondefend their homes. Given them the undefended property and territory that they want, that will certainly teach them a lesson.

Just remember that in real life, possession in at least 99% of the law, and giving yours away or abandoning it leaves you with no standing and no purpose whatsoever.

Oh but in their dreams they are.
Maybe the freeways will be kept safe and people running away to hide behind bigger men will be able to do so conveniently.

NOBODY runs but to hide behind others they hope will save them.
But why should anyone who has abandoned their home and family defend them when the jackrabbit didnt defend his property but instead ran off to hide behind the trousers of others begging to be tolerated and provided for while they create a bigger target?

Thanks OP for posting.

Yesterday morning, here in So Cal, I woke up to a heavy plume of smoke in the distance. By noon, ash and the smell of smoke were everywhere near me as the fire raged and wind blew remnants of homes and brush out toward the ocean.

At the same time, we're having earthquakes daily now along different fault lines.

Needing an INCH bag isn't just about escaping some invading mutant, militant zombie army hoard.

Natural disasters can render an area uninhabitable and it can happen in an instant.

an INCH bag is needed when for whatever reason you are FORCED to displace, stands for im never coming home. point of it is to be self dependent when out on the road for whatever reason..

Re: INCH (I'm Never Coming Home)Equipment Categories / BOB-Bug out Bag - FEMA Rejection Pack
The INCH Bag/Backpack concept is NOT for people who want to Run Away from what is coming, it is the last resort when your neighborhood is burning down due to a lack of water pressure, Total economic collapse that has been engineered
and the pillaging Gangs that make living in a "normal house" a death trap.

Anyone with Resources "Money" and Brains will have already moved well away from Cities of vast numbers of people that think the Government, Police, Fire and Grocery Stores will always be there to provide order, protection and food.

The strategy That I propose is Wait until Just when everything starts to break down and then when your Job and the Supply Chain starts to shut Down and all hell starts breaking loose get away from populated areas as fast as possible.
Setting up a homestead on land nobody would want, because it is hard to access and has no utilities will be a challenge, but far less dangerous than staying behind to be shot, burned alive with all your things or die from disease as the water and sewer systems shut down and the trash piles up.

Soooo...while it's a fairly awesome list of stuff, what's the total weight of all the stuff? How is it to be transported, as well as the amount of space said stuff occupies, or is this intended to be stationary because of the amount and weight of stuff?

I've said it before, but if you want a realistic look at what a bugout bag or even a long time line survival situation should look like, take a look at lists for backpackers. And for the truly adventurous, take a look at ultralight backpacking.

It's not the amount of stuff that determines your survival outcome, but the amount of stuff between your ears that determines your fate.

I have a EDC/BOB/GOOD and working on an INCH bag....but my lists are no where this long. Knowledge is the best thing you can have. A small SAS book or Military survival book is to be read, practiced, and retained. You can't pack a library and expect to get anywhere without falling apart due to dehydration from carrying it all.

Good list over all, but there are some things that can be left off as they can be modified or gathered/built while away naturally.

Grey matter between your ears is the most important item. Without the the knowledge gained before things fall apart (which they will at some point), all the gear in the world will not provide with the full benefits you need if no idea what to do with them.

Good luck.

FEMA Rejection Pack

I bet a lot of Hurricane Katrina survivors wish they had made one of these before the storm, If you are too poor to move before the disaster at least you can put one of these together a piece at a time till you have no choice but to leave or face the Goon squad, I mean Brainwashed Soldiers that are told to shoot people who do not follow orders or hand over their guns (Protection).

This sounds like good advice.

Need to add a sub-section for BARTER with disposable Bic lighters right at the top:

- light, you won't even notice a few tucked away
- small, can easily carry a sack of dozens
- cheap, but instantly appreciate in value during SHTF
- invaluable, even modern Americans quickly realize the need for fire

YOU DO THE MATH
