it's not as bad as people perceive-

definitely all surgeries have involved risks,so does getting a tooth pulled.

the advances today have made by pass surgeries etc COMMON
AND if your wonderful mom were a "poor surgical risk" you would have been advised .

think of it as a form of a bypass surgery .

Thanks all for your prayers. Once again Mom proved what a trooper she is and came through with flying colors. I spent the last few days taking care of her and waiting for the effects of the anesthesia to wear off. She gets terribly loopy on that crap, for days. She's so tiny and even at her age is on NO MEDICATIONS. She's amazing.
