Let’s see, there’s Jesus, and well, that’s about it. Unfortunately for one pastor on the West Coast of Africa, his attempt to become the second man to make this impossible feat a reality cost him his life." Quoting: Sinister Grin Rofl what was this guy thinking???? [link to www.reportghananews.com] I checked out their source and did not find it there. This is probably one of those stupid "hoax" reports again. Source: AllChristianNews beebee |

[link to www.reportghananews.com] All the more reason to pay attention - the bible is not meant to be taken literally; it is all about parables, symbolism and allegories. Jesus walking on water is all about the SUN There are reports of miraculous acts of walking on water in several religions, such as Buddhist texts, some Hindu stories, the Huang-Po story, the stories of Orion, the Aeneid and some native American myths,in addition to the miraculous accounts of Jesus walking on water in the New Testament. The astrotheology behind this goes back to Horus, the Egyptian sun God. He was a personification of the Sun, and the book of the dead had allegories all over it, just like the bible. 'Walking on water' is nothing more than the Sun's reflection off the river. beebee |

Step out of a helicopter at 500 feet, over the ocean, 5 miles from shore. Would solve a lot of political issues and the overpopulation and budget woes. |

It's someone who understands Marx and Lenin - Ronald Reagan |

Since that pastor wasn't God he obviously misunderstood Who Jesus was and is. "It's a friendly friendly world" (Andy Kaufman) Calm seas do not a sailor make, Nor easy horses, a horseman. And Jesus was a sailor when he walked upon the water And he spent a long time watching from his lonely wooden tower and when He could be certain only drowning men could see Him- Leonard Cohen |

Kinda like pentecostal snake handlers, at times they get killed by the snake. They haven't figured out what the gifts were for and it was not to make a show in church for a bunch of church goats. [link to www.washingtonpost.com] there's no wonder they said this about these charismaniacs/plenty-cost-alls G. Campbell Morgan described the Azusa Street activities as "the last vomit of Satan." ("From Holy Laughter to Holy Fire" by Michael L. Brown, pages 197&198) R.A. Torrey declared that this new Pentecostal movement was "emphatically not of God, and founded by a Sodomite." ("From Holy Laughter to Holy Fire" by Michael L. Brown, pages 197&198) H. A. Ironside said in 1912 AD both the holiness and Pentecostal movements were "disgusting. . .delusions and insanities." ... "pandemonium's where exhibitions worthy of a madhouse or a collection of howling dervishes," were causing a "heavy toll of lunacy and infidelity." ("From Holy Laughter to Holy Fire" by Michael L. Brown, pages 197&198) W.B. Godbey said of the Azusa Street participants and he claimed the movement was the result of spiritualism. "Satan's preachers, jugglers, necromancers, enchanters, magicians, and all sorts or mendicants," ("From Holy Laughter to Holy Fire" by Michael L. Brown, pages 197&198) Clarence Larkin "But the conduct of those possessed, in which they fall to the ground and writhe in contortions, causing disarrangement's of the clothing and disgraceful scenes, is more a characteristic of demon possession, than a work of the Holy Spirit. From what has been said we see that we are living in "Perilous Times," and that all about us are "Seducing Spirits," and that they will become more active as the Dispensation draws to its close, and that we must exert the greatest care lest we be led astray." ("From Holy Laughter to Holy Fire" by Michael L. Brown, pages 197&198) same lost crowd as the atheists. Nor does it gives its readers any either. Imagine quoting this verse and that verse all your life and doing no active thinkng.....? <<shudder>> |
