NOTHING IS AS NOTHING DOES

In the Beginning
Was the Word,
And the Word was Nothing.
Nothing was
Calm, Quiet, and Still
For quite a long while.
Then,
Nothing wanted to see
What nothing looked like,
And discovered that,
To see nothing or even Nothing,
Something had to be added.
And then it got complicated.

SOMETHING ABOUT NOTHING

One day Something said, “Bah! I AM Nothing!
How could I have thought I have worth?”

Wailing of hands and voice.

Nothing heard, said nothing in reply.
Sending only waves of love to Something.

The Veil must be preserved.

Still, Something had called by Name, saying:
“I AM Nothing!”

Finally Nothing, knowing The Plan, said-
“Soon.”

“What?” cried Something, “Who are You?”

“Soon.” Repeated.

“Soon what?”

Something is totally frustrated.
Knowing not what, or from when, let alone how.

Something listened again,
Strained to hear The Voice
that came from Nothing.

“It is a Mystery,” decided Something.

"I will teach my children this fact:
“There is great Mystery in Nothing.”

“But, Teacher,” cry the Young,

“What is Nothing?”

Meanwhile Nothing said to nothing at ALL--

“That was Something.”
