MSNBC's Harris-Perry apologizes for mocking Romney over black grandchild
MSNBC's Melissa Harris-Perry apologized this morning amid a growing media storm over the way she and her guests made fun of Mitt Romney's adopted grandchild -- who happens to be black.

During the segment, as Harris-Perry showed the Romney family photo, one of the panelists, Pia Glenn, sang: "One of these things is not like the other, one of these things just isn't the same."

Harris-Perry chimed in that "my goal is that in 2040, the biggest thing of the year will be the marriage between Kieran Romney and North West. Can you imagine Mitt Romney and Kanye West as in-laws?"

The left is soo dispicable. This is like the 4th time in the last year someone from msnbc has had to apologize for remarks like this.

Say what you will about fox news, but the right doesn't use these tactics.

The left is tactless, racist, and sexist. All under the guise of tolerance and equality.

Hmm...

So because some left of center folks made racist comments, now everybody that's left of center is tactless, racist, and sexist?

What is your opinion about when a right of center individual makes a racist comment?

I see.

Could you explain what the strategy is used for? I'm confused by what was gained by making racist comments and then having to tearfully apologize and look like an absolute fool in front of the entire country.

What is the ultimate goal they hope to achieve?

I'm speaking about the left of center folks.

Double ditto. She is not sorry for what she did. She is sorry it backfired and worried about the PC fallout.

This is the same elite minded statist that said "We have to break through our kind-of private idea that kids belong to their parents, or kids belong to their families, and recognize that kids belong to whole communities..."

I'll believe she is sorry about an ill considered political slam when she stops thinking of people as wards of the state.

Nice link, I just got back from lunch and was going to respond to that poster, but this link sums it up nicely.

Plus, attacking the opposition over and over and over and over, is a tactic the far lefties admit to using.

It has gotten a little better, in the 60's they would just bomb your house or place of business. Although those criminals are now professors....oddly enough.

Plus, it's not hard to research and see if the claims are true that were from AR's link.

It's just easier to say it's hard to find objectivity from a conservative news source. It's not about objectivity, it's just, are those stories true or not? And I can tell you, I checked them, and they are.

Re: MSNBC's Harris-Perry apologizes for mocking Romney over black grandchild
It isn’t that she took part in laughing at an off color (pardon the pun) joke. She was sitting with a bunch of comedians. There are plenty of people who make their careers out of race, sex, and age jokes and many comedians are absolutely brutal to groups of people they don’t like. What they did was pretty tame by comparison.

The problem with her participation in that low-ball political slam was that she is one the many at MSNBC who would absolutely roast any non-progressive liberal who did the same thing. The problem is the double standard.

As for Glenn's response this morning, I got disgusted with it and turned the radio off. He fell for the classic woman crying crocodile tears because he is about 30 seconds away from crying half the time himself. He felt she was being unfairly castigated for just having a partisan laugh with fellow liberals.

Well, that (and the constant lying) is the reason I don't watch MSNBC. They call themselves a "News" network, but they lie their asses off and viciously attack people they don't like on a daily basis. Well, it bit 'em the ass this time and one of them busted our crying about it. Tough titties.

If they were real, it was only because her butt got into trouble, not for any remorse she feels for making fun of a baby.
