Quite an experience to live in fear, isn't it?
That's what it is to be a slave.

It makes me feel as if I'm in a pod in the matrix. Maybe I broke through the mind control and gained some semblance of control over the system so they had to make adjustments.

I've had friends tell me they've felt similar things recently. I can't believe no one on GLP has.

some can't sleep at night, stressing out over paperwork to be done. and then go slave all days to cough up the financial mind control tax for their corporate and governmental handlers. i'd say the beam is working fine.

Everyone is working on your brain. Everybody want to con you into something, vote for me, buy my dish soap, marry my ugly sister, and the list goes non....

It is the beings out of sync with our existence, but able to interact with us. Look up the Star Trek Voyager episode where aliens are doing experiements on humans and everyone is getting headaches, can't sleep, losing their hair, getting upset, getting sexual urges, getting violent urges......

Sorry OP, I don't know what happened to you, but I can imagine someone/somethimg was messing round with your head.
In my whole I had the feeling that there's a being/entity/whatever making sure we cannot develop further than to a certain point.
Had a strange experience back in November, which I'd like to share:

I went to bed and while drifting slowly into sleep I had my usual diffuse head cinema.
Bit by bit the pictures vanished, but what was left was a "ring" rotating around me periodically with me in its centre.
Only the edges of this ring could be seen. They were a multi coloured and soft light. The ring itself was invisible in the darkness.
Half asleep I suddenly was aware that this was not the normal stuff and in a fraction of a second I was fully awake.
I decided to obseerve this phenomenon. It did no harm to me, but I have a feeling like it was a highly sophisticated device, which was scanning me.
I could clearly see it, no matter if my eyes were closed or open.
Two or three minutes later it stopped and vanished as if the scan was completed.

I remember that episode all too well and it's the first thing I thought of. It freaks me the hell out because I felt like I had finally attained control over this existence only to sink back down. I felt like a god but I was totally aware of everything going on. It was as if everyone around me knew what was going on too. I had a lot of interesting feelings that night including vibrations throughout my legs and a feeling like I was strapped down. All while awake, I thought.

The whole experience scared the hell out of me. It's hard to trust anything now.

The most interesting thing to me is, are they Demons or are they Aliens (some say they are the same thing). Or are they technologically advanced humans that are sipmly doing testing on us (it happens in the world now, by us even). Or are they the keepers of the matrix that we live in (theory from here) and they are free to test on us as they wish.

Either way, it explains a lot of things, urges that people say they have "out of nowhere", for food, doing things to other people, many things it explains, no matter which one you pick.

All of these theories are valid and have run through my head multiple times since then. It's impossible to disprove any of these theories as much as it is to prove them. So what do we do about it? Just take it with a grain of salt every time my head feels like it's being tampered with? It's hard to accept that.

On the other hand, maybe it's light beings trying to help us to evolve. If that's the case though, light beings usually talk about letting us evolve on our own. So I don't necessarily buy that.

Our only options are to act like it's not happening or try to stop it with our minds. There's no clear solution.

People With Attitudes?

Make sure your fear does not becomes your master.
After experiencing scary events or dreams, I reflect the situation and transform the fear either to love or to straightforward anger (depends on my mood and the situation) and lock it up in a "bubble" which I can open when needed.
Fear, anger and love are very powerfull emotions.

Not sure about the little differences between anger and fury.
In the German language there's "Zorn" and "Wut".
Wut means an exploding wild fury which discharges in all directions and causes a lot of damage that was not intended.
Zorn is target-oriented fury which only harms exactly what you want to get harmed, but not everything around it. This is what I meant with straightforward anger.

I choose to trust that the universe has good things in store for me and that whatever happens will be remedied in the long run no matter what. We're here for a blink of an eye and I'm not going to miss it because I'm afraid.

Thank you for that, it does. There's some synchronicity there. It coincides with the books and websites I've been finding as of late. I've been afraid to let go of my anger for fear of hurting people. This lets people walk all over me and I've allowed it to happen for far too long.

I know how you feel. Same with me in the past - sometimes, but very rarely, even nowadays.
It's important not to lose your ability of observing yourself.

Oh, there're so many sources of wisdom in this world where you might never think there is.
This bubble thing is from a Terry Pratchett book. Pratchett novels can tell a lot more than just a funny story if you're reading between the lines ;)
If you like British humour and fantasy I highly recommend his books.
