Quoting: Anonymous Coward 51922822 Toronto is a huge city, and it seems that more than 80% of the city has power on. So, where is the doom? People who don't have power may just move to the part of the city (80% of it) that has power. No real doom here. I'm from Scarborough the biggest region of the city effecting the most people. Ive got a chunk of ice doom I'd like to stick up your ass, keep it moving you obviously don't understand we're one of the biggest cities in NA so 20% is still a lot keep it moving fuckface. Just call one of your friends or relatives who live in the 80% of the city that has power, and ask to move there until you have power back, and stop talking about doom. Only my aunt is in the city from my family and she has no power. Look here tard. [link to www.torontohydro.com] |

And those that killed themselves with the indoors bbq:ing are most likely third world savages, happens basically every year here some of them kill themselves by grill. Death by bbq. One time they managed to burn down an entire house, that ones insane and they actually survived that one just with the loss of a house. User ID: 13624892 United States 12/24/2013 11:11 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My friend in Michigan is still without power. He has gas stove and bought a generator but it's still freezing. He's smart enough to leave the generator outside and not try to heat his house with the stove lol. Feel bad for people that this is happening during Christmas. I hope not many people freeze to death. Always check on neighbors, especially the elderly. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 17647409 United States 12/24/2013 11:12 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | SE Michigan here and no power since the ice storm. Luckily I've had a generator powering the house but it's getting pretty expensive. I can't imagine how some of my neighbors without generators are still in their homes when it's 15 degrees out. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 16712254 Better to be hot and humid then freezing sir. Probably less painful but about as many die from the heat as from the extreme cold. Go figure. . Anonymous Coward User ID: 1256345 United States 12/24/2013 11:51 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Youre Canadian AND s glper, you should be ready for this kind of shit. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 51915510 No excuses. I grew up north of Op in Peterborough and having the power out for a week this time of year is really dangerous. Being that is the case OP is why I quoted the above AC. You should be so prepared that at this point that the worst effected, elderly and people w/ very young children have also been made secure through your action. You know your neighbors. Get out there OP - single mom using her own body heat for her baby, elderly person alone, no family/friends just sitting there drifting off and freezing to death. It's Christmas eve 'tard get out and start knocking on your neighbors doors even if they are OK. It could provide a sense of community also another person who does have their shit together may join. Get a couple of more sing carols and knock on doors!! My uncle used to live in Pickering and as an old man if he was going through this and his neighbors did nothing not even check on him I would be LIVID. I live in the States now and would expect to have to check on my uncle my self I don't have the piece of mind here that I would up there regarding emergencies. Your a Canadian God Damn IT Act like one, get out there!! And Merry Christmas to ya eh, have an Ex. for me. |
