When u choose to live in a wintery region of N. America, u better b prepared. Mainers r tough people who r used to enduring the wind, rain, ice and snow and I'd assume most Canadians r cut from a similar cloth and r prepared to deal with extreme winter weather. I don't think this is real doom just yet... You are the creator of your own master plan... Make it a good one. Wake the fuk up and be ready... I don't think this is real doom just yet... Are you kidding me..Most people here should know to at least have an alternative heat source, and have been warned about long power outages too, but choose not to listen. Even in big cities like Toronto and London people don't even know how to keep a small apartment warm or eat without hydro..lol. |

After Sandy (Thank You Canadians for coming to help) it was cold here in NJ ( Not nearly as cold as it is for you in Canada), but I kept pots of water boiling on the (gas) stove...it really helped keep it a little warm.... Quoting: LJ 1189406 I Hope your Power Comes Back on Very Very Soon. That water ends up somewhere. Often in the insulation. A flower pot on the stove would warm without putting water into the house. Government is a body largely ungoverned. |

One of the most important aspects of conspiracy theories is being able to discern when there isn't one. Oh yeah, like you'd understand anyway. I was for 5 Days and it all worked out Fine. No problems with the "insulation". The front door opening and closing with people going in and out every once in a while solved that issue. |

Toronto is a huge city, and it seems that more than 80% of the city has power on. So, where is the doom? People who don't have power may just move to the part of the city (80% of it) that has power. No real doom here. |
