People have been duped. And the real duped have already signed contracts thinking they have a cap.

The whole thing, this Obamacare, is guilty of FALSE ADVERTISEMENT and subject to small claims court.

Re: ACA cap on out-of-pocket maximums delayed to 2015
My plan from blue cross blue shield of TN (none ACA) always had out of pocket max. It is $3000 for each member or $6000 for the family.

I have personal coverage from my work. It's $1020, a month, to add my wife and kid on through work. ACA plan (same eveything) was $367 a month. However this had an "E" network and i could not find one doctor to accept this insurance. The same plan in the "S" network was $417 a month. The same plan under the "P" network was $468 a month. All of our doctors take the S and P plans. So explain to me how our company has to pay over double the amount for my family. This does not make any since.

I went with the "s" network. No reason to pay any more than i have to for the same coverage.

No mine is a real plan too

35/50 co pay for doctor visits*
3/35/50 for drug*
20% co-insurance/co-pay (does not apply to doct visits or drugs)
2000/4000 deductable

* - the things the crap plans do not have.

Now the insurance company wants to hurry and lock in there new rate Dec 31st. I think they are ripping use off. But what can you do when the insurance underwrite is our CEO's neibor. Some how he has to pay for that big house on the mountain.

We meet my wives out of pocket max at the beginning of the year when she had an operation and her normal visits. So i told her we could have a kid, bugging me for 3 years.

only had to pay $735 for the WHOLE thing and she had a C-section.... and i get the tax deduction because it was before dec 31.... AH i might get some money back this year.

Did you think about what you posted? The SCOTUS wasn't that nutless, they moved on the ACA. And Congress moved on NDAA, so i guess they got some nuts too. I'll agree with you though that neither Congress or the SCOTUS will move on anything that benefits the people.

We make too much for one. And since my employer pays for mine we dont qualify. But the one though my work (if i had to pay out of pocket) is $1526 a month. that would like me with something like $70 a month (after taxes) buts its would be $587 thought BCBS. I dont understand while its soo high for the employer.

Again the ACA plans are a "E" network and i have yet to find anyone in Chattanooga to take that. So all the ACA plans are no good if no one will take them.

The sales rep laughed because he said what i did in 20 mins have taken people 2 months to do. That is why you need to research all parts of the plans. Funny things is people that make the most of there money do anyways.

I got the gold G111S or something i can't remember.

No they do not have the tax deduction in them. However, TN is one of the low insurance cost states. Cost of living is lower but so is the pay. It evens out in the wash.

But since that refund is in your taxes you still have to pay that out of pocket amount. And people with no money can't do that anyways.

2015 or '16 is when ACA costs are dumped on the states if I remember correctly from '09-'10.

Re: ACA cap on out-of-pocket maximums delayed to 2015
Sorry it was confusing. The "E" network are the ACA plans. The "S" and "P" plans are from me calling Blue Cross Blue Shield and signing up through them.

So the insurance company plans on the ACA are the same plans just cheaper. But because they are cheaper they pay out less. Due to paying out less no one will accept them.

Now this is just from my personally opinion and shopping around.

Employer plans are marked too high:
- They have to have them if so many employees
- Wanting people to come to them directly
- get what they offer that is it

Insurance company plans:
- price seems to be the best
- best networks
- can customize what you want

ACA plans
- really cheap and can get tax write off
- cheapest network (some doctor might lose money)
- really paying for nothing unless gold or above (dont offer 8/35/50 drugs or 35/50 doc visits)
- have high deductables and can't really change them like you can if you call the insurance company

I do agree with some of the things in ACA (no pre cond, young helping out the older, i am 31, ect) However, i feel this is just a crap storm taking more money for insurance companies.

just make everyone policy cover the same things (except for deductables, co-pay, out of pocket, ect) just have big pools. One from employers and one from individuals. Boom problem solved. buy if you want or don't want to. Insurance companies stay the same. The pools just lower the costs.

or how about when your older and can't afford it. Should i complain about have to pay for older people.

I see it as an investment. Pay a little more while i can and save alot later in live. You might call me a socialist for this but im far from it. I just can see a worth while investment that we can all benefit from. Would you pay a $500 a year more now to save $3000 a year later?

Well then, I've had some pretty vile rhinitis the past couple of days, and even though I've treated it myself without doctors, I'm going to need for you to send me $100. I don't care if you're tapped out buying xmas gifts.

Your premises are completely flawed. You are using the word investment improperly. What you are describing is not an investment, it's theft. While investments may lose value over time and have a negative return, the goal is to have a non-monetary store of value that will hopefully appreciate in its worth. This is not that. It's a Ponzi scheme, exactly and precisely by definition, because it requires new participants to pay the dividends to existing participants. This is a mathematical fallacy and the only possible outcome is collapse of the scheme.

You should look into the "Demographic Problem" and how the baby boomers are dying left and right, and that there is not sufficient numbers of younger people to make up for many elements of the economy, not just healthcare. You are being scammed but you can't see it because of your fear of death.

You are in fact a socialist, if not a fascist, because you advocate the use of force to involuntarily take wealth from people you don't know for your own selfish means.

If you get cancer in your balls, that's just life. Don't steal my shit for it. You probably made some bad choices to get that ball cancer. I will not have my wealth stolen because you have ingested factory-produced toxins your whole life when you had the free choice to avoid it.

The subsidies are only good for a couple of years, and then they will most likely be discontinued when the hard reality of math catches up to the Ponzi scheme.

Also, not a single person has tried to make a claim because the plans are not in effect yet. Good luck with that!

Well is there really a point to talk about this is you are telling me what i believe and how i feel.. that is very grown up. Restain from using "you" soo much and it will look like a issue to talk about rather than projecting your feelings on me and tell me its my opinion.

First i never said i event like the law (which i dont)

Second its not stealing money. I can care less about you. If you can read what i said. I said "Pay a little more while i can and save alot later in live." (ment to use life instead of live) So if i'm willing to pay more now in the chance to save money later; this is called hedging against my health. I know its hard for someone to understand the concept of paying more now to save in the future but that isn't "socialism or facism". That in true is Captialism. Why because i can invest my money however i want to. Im 100% sure you have no idea of the real meaning of the words

Third who are you to tell me HOW to invest or spend my money and then call me a socialist.

let me sum up.

I go to an insurance company that has the best plan. I agree to pay for things i dont need and a little more so that all the plans in the pool are the best rate. (this is what employers do for there plans) I agree to it and purchase the plan. (got no hand outs and with my earned cash) Tell people the info i got from my plan. BOOOM im a socialist and facism stealing money from people????

Re: ACA cap on out-of-pocket maximums delayed to 2015
Im done post on this thread sorry op it got off topic. But the lower iq people dont realize my plan is not from ACA but a normal insurance company.

And they dont realize how to get in group pools for better rates. Which the companies themselves offered BEFORE ACA and will still offer.

Yea the out-of-pocket maximums will screw to lower class. (all the bronze/silver plans are now worthless)

Yeah, how much money do I get to steal from strangers via the point of a gun (proxied through gov't agencies) in order to pay for my pregnancy coverage when I'm a male?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 4466048

You don't, however if you get cancer in your balls i bet your be glad some female that cant get cancer in the balls is helping you out.

or how about when your older and can't afford it.

It's difficult to point out the many flaws in the arguments and suppositions that have been presented without using the word "you".

Why on earth would someone pay for something they don't need?

When did my establishing the definition of investment transform into directing someone how to invest their wealth?

How does capitalism involve the confiscation of wealth by the use of force from the unwilling?

How is confiscation of wealth under the threat of force not theft? Because the thief is wearing a particular shirt, badge or other trinket?

I don't understand how paying more now means saving more later. This is the first I've heard of it. How is this guaranteed?

What are my rights of redress when the premises I have been told under which to make these decisions change from day to day?

Why is it necessary to have a plan where benefits of it are clearly impossible to convey? Why are they even there? Will my sex change be covered so that I can utilize the pregnancy benefits?

How do I exert my right to not participate?

Is my right to not participate honored, or is it a criminal act?

If I ask of nothing from a stranger, do I still need to give them my wealth simply because they want it?

How is the ACA not a Ponzi scheme?

Can the President alter a law that has been passed by Congress (and signed by the President) without the authorization of Congress?

Will anyone ever proofread their writing before hitting the Post button?

Cowards losing arguments are the first to run. I think the lower class deserves better consideration.

What about all the plans that have already been canceled? It seems counter to the assertion that [unspecified] companies offered "BEFORE ACA and will still offer".

Is there a crystal ball or time machine that I am not aware of?

this is too funny.

you realize that IM NOT A PART OF ACA exchange

Now how does me paying more now so when Im older i can pay less involve you at all. It doesn't. So i want to pay more now (like a roth IRA or 401k) so i can get a better return later that saves me inflation and taxes? But you can't see it like that. I could explain the cost value of money, and time vaule of money but you need to go to a good college to learn that.

I do not fear death i long for it. I will love the day when i dont have stress and other will realize that everyone has a different opinion and just because we see two different things doesn't make either of us wrong.

If you read all i posted and still believe that to the truest heart then ill let you have your opinion its your right. However, you must respect my decision and give me the same rights.

we can agree to disagree

Im done being nice you idiot. for the last time IM NOT A PART OF ACA EXCHANGE POLICIES. Wrong my plan does not work like that if you ever read anything i wrote. Your mother must have dropped you on your head. do you need meds so you can read what i really wrote compared to what your crazy mind thinks i wrote.

i pay MAX 3k (same policy i used for 5 years now.... wait ....wait.... YEA BEFORE THE ACA)

Yep my plan can go anywhere i want..... why because its not through the ACA. You know if you read you would realize my message was (1) the normal non-aca plans are better than the aca. (2) no doctor would accept ACA exchange plans. (3) the maximum pay is now off the silver and bronze plans.
(4) ACA is causing employer plans to go way up for no reason
(5) anything without 8/35/50 drugs and 35/50 doc visits are just taking your money and making you pay everything out of pocket
