People have been duped. And the real duped have already signed contracts thinking they have a cap.

The whole thing, this Obamacare, is guilty of FALSE ADVERTISEMENT and subject to small claims court.

Fuck small claims, it should be subject to the Supreme Court and Congress...but they are too nutless to move on anything!
 Quoting: Saddletramp

I seriously don't understand why they haven't repealed it. I mean, how can what is obvious to us peasants not be obvious to our "leaders" ?

Done quietly ... so more people would sign up for these policies thinking they have caps.

Just another reason to pay the fine and not buy insurance this year. The fine is very cheap this year.

The deadline to sign up is just hours away... and more people signed the Duck Dynasty petition in 24 hours than have signed up for obozocare in 3 months.

And most of those have been going directly into Medicaid because they're broke.

Go figure.

You don't, however if you get cancer in your balls i bet your be glad some female that cant get cancer in the balls is helping you out.

or how about when your older and can't afford it. Should i complain about have to pay for older people.

I see it as an investment. Pay a little more while i can and save alot later in live. You might call me a socialist for this but im far from it. I just can see a worth while investment that we can all benefit from. Would you pay a $500 a year more now to save $3000 a year later?

Well then, I've had some pretty vile rhinitis the past couple of days, and even though I've treated it myself without doctors, I'm going to need for you to send me $100. I don't care if you're tapped out buying xmas gifts.

Your premises are completely flawed. You are using the word investment improperly. What you are describing is not an investment, it's theft. While investments may lose value over time and have a negative return, the goal is to have a non-monetary store of value that will hopefully appreciate in its worth. This is not that. It's a Ponzi scheme, exactly and precisely by definition, because it requires new participants to pay the dividends to existing participants. This is a mathematical fallacy and the only possible outcome is collapse of the scheme.

You should look into the "Demographic Problem" and how the baby boomers are dying left and right, and that there is not sufficient numbers of younger people to make up for many elements of the economy, not just healthcare. You are being scammed but you can't see it because of your fear of death.

You are in fact a socialist, if not a fascist, because you advocate the use of force to involuntarily take wealth from people you don't know for your own selfish means.

If you get cancer in your balls, that's just life. Don't steal my shit for it. You probably made some bad choices to get that ball cancer. I will not have my wealth stolen because you have ingested factory-produced toxins your whole life when you had the free choice to avoid it.

The subsidies are only good for a couple of years, and then they will most likely be discontinued when the hard reality of math catches up to the Ponzi scheme.

Also, not a single person has tried to make a claim because the plans are not in effect yet. Good luck with that!

Not to mention that ACA is not portable and you have to pay bout 12k up front first beforenyiu see a penny back.
How will you pay 12 k per year iin cash in addition to regular payment?

Your mother must have dropped you on your head. do you need meds so you can read what i really wrote compared to what your crazy mind thinks i wrote.

i pay MAX 3k (same policy i used for 5 years now.... wait ....wait.... YEA BEFORE THE ACA)

Yep my plan can go anywhere i want..... why because its not through the ACA. You know if you read you would realize my message was (1) the normal non-aca plans are better than the aca. (2) no doctor would accept ACA exchange plans. (3) the maximum pay is now off the silver and bronze plans.
(4) ACA is causing employer plans to go way up for no reason
(5) anything without 8/35/50 drugs and 35/50 doc visits are just taking your money and making you pay everything out of pocket

No they do not have the tax deduction in them. However, TN is one of the low insurance cost states. Cost of living is lower but so is the pay. It evens out in the wash.

But since that refund is in your taxes you still have to pay that out of pocket amount. And people with no money can't do that anyways.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 10630957

And I forgot, you are not eligible for the ACA policy, if your employer offers insurance. What kind of freedom of choice is that?
 Quoting: Renegade ()

"The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America . Blaming the prince of fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools, such as those who made him their President." - Vaclav Klaus

Re: ACA cap on out-of-pocket maximums delayed to 2015
My plan from blue cross blue shield of TN (none ACA) always had out of pocket max. It is $3000 for each member or $6000 for the family.

I have personal coverage from my work. It's $1020, a month, to add my wife and kid on through work. ACA plan (same eveything) was $367 a month. However this had an "E" network and i could not find one doctor to accept this insurance. The same plan in the "S" network was $417 a month. The same plan under the "P" network was $468 a month. All of our doctors take the S and P plans. So explain to me how our company has to pay over double the amount for my family. This does not make any since.

I went with the "s" network. No reason to pay any more than i have to for the same coverage.

No mine is a real plan too

35/50 co pay for doctor visits*
3/35/50 for drug*
20% co-insurance/co-pay (does not apply to doct visits or drugs)
2000/4000 deductable

29 year old female
<1 male

* - the things the crap plans do not have.

Now the insurance company wants to hurry and lock in there new rate Dec 31st. I think they are ripping use off. But what can you do when the insurance underwrite is our CEO's neibor. Some how he has to pay for that big house on the mountain.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 10630957

Warning; If you or your spouse are eligible at work for health insurance you are NOT eligible for the tax subsidy, meaning you must pay the full market price with no reduction to cost. Average cost per person is around $360 a person a month for the country, expected to be around $440 per person by 2016. Meaning a family of three runs just under 1000 a month for the lowest plan with 60/40 coverage right now.

This is why everyone is going to loose work place coverage in the next few years if there are 50 or less employed.

The whole thing, this Obamacare, is guilty of FALSE ADVERTISEMENT and subject to small claims court.

The Supreme Court is truly nutless. They screwed up the States not having to extend medicaid to the poor for ACA. There are people who don't make enough for medicaid and too little for ACA subsidies/discounts. F. Republican governors and the nutless Supreme Court who allowed this to happen. We can't afford it, unconstitutional in my state to not have a balanced budged and they wanted the states to foot the majority of the bill and with the fed cutting even more Medicaid coming soon there is no choice. More people don't work in my state then do work, were already upside down.

You can't get blood from a stone, there is no money left.

Don't just blame the repubs either, Kathleen Sebelius was the one who approved and it was the Ninth circus in Cali who upheld it and democrat officials in Cali who supported the move by the court. This is how Cali cut their Medicaid budget by 10% setting the national precedence in the courts eyes going all the way back to 2011.

The repub states for the most part did not cut their budgets but refused to take on more of the federal expenses.

If you're willing to pay more for insurance now, when you're reasonably young, to 'profit' later, when you're old and may 'need it, think of this...

The older you are, the more expendable you will be in the eyes of your 'providers' (the federal government).

They WILL NOT try to cure your ball cancer when you're 65.

They WILL NOT agree to tests for heart problems when you're 70.

like this?

Snip; Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, Obama's top health care advisor, advocates denying care to elderly and disabled

Snip2; "We recommend an alternative system--the complete lives system--which prioritises younger people who have not yet live a complete life and also incorporates prognosis, save the most lives, lottery, and instrumental value principles.”

In defending this approach against charges of ageism, Dr. Emanuel claims that because everyone was young once, prioritizing the young over the old is not discrimination:

“Unlike allocation by sex or race, allocation by age is not invidious discrimination; every person lives through different states rather than being a single age. Even if 25-year-olds receive priority over 65-year-olds, everyone who is 65 years now was previously 25 years.”

This system also treats human beings as commodities, evaluating their lives as "investments":

They want old people dead in this country, they have no incentive to give them health care at all.

The dumbass young people go yeeeaaah kill all them old people so I can have more teachers! buying Bill Gates's line of shit.

All these young people, want to kill your own parents then? You are going to be old someday, too old to work, or maybe too sick. They you will be killed. What goes around comes around.

Wait I'm confused. when I did the zerocare calculator it said I'd have to pay $350/mo for premiums plus a $6500 annual deductible plus 30% of all my medical bills on top of that. It appears what I am eligible for has no max out of pocket cap. Does the cap depend on your income?

The way some of you talk, you would think the ones that thought this up are going to be around forever. Nancy Pelosi was the one that gleefully set those healthcare co-pay and said anyone could afford them. Even with people, one in her own party trying to tell her it was way over board, she would not hear them.

I didn't have anything else to do so I watched the whole thing come into being back when they were taring our lives apart. I know that woman and her husband makes money off the backs of the American people, just like quite a few of the women up there use their positions to get contracts for their husbands or the business that they own.

All of them have a lot coming to them and they are not going to like it, I wonder if she can say easy come, easy go! She will be like the rich women in the great depression in mink stoles sitting in the streets begging for food. Or, she can get a job as a street sweeper in an orange jump suit.

Obama has done his part but he did not start this, he is more their guy, Harry and Nancy!
