Can you catch it again if you have had it once?

I'm pretty sure I had that upper respiratory thing. I had the Flu Like symptoms and everything. The whole time I had it I kept telling myself that this is very different and I've never felt this way before. I don't go to the doctor so I had no idea what I had.

What I did was a I took lots of Bragg's Organic Apple Cider Vinegar in Cranberry Juice. More servings than your supposed to take in a day. I ate the highest sodium foods I could get my hands on. I also took Alka Seltzer when I got tired, but I didn't use much of it. I got better in 3 days.

The last day I woke up in a puddle of sweat before I got better.

In all honesty, I don't know. When you're exposed to a viral infection, after you've recovered - your body has built up immunity for that particular virus.

(think 'chicken pox')

However, it can be reactivated in certain situations.

(think 'shingles')

But this isn't a virus - its a bacteria. Plus all bacteria/virus'/fungi are constantly mutating.

I've read that through DNA testing with descendants of plague patients in the 1600's, that they had been passed on some of the immunity to their children/grandchildren etc that the surviors had developed after their recovery.

So I guess its possible.

Avoidance & being pro-active is always better tho.

When I pick up my research again later tonight, I'll see what I can find out it. Cuz it's an excellent question. thumbs

would love a link if you can find one - I wasn't
aware of that! hf

....so it must fit in with the 'script' - maybe they're getting ready to let the
cat out of the bag? just in time for some holiday cheer?

It was odd-he only brought it up at the end of the program and then started talking about it at length. He took calls on it too. You would think that something like this happening in Texas would get a lot more buzz. Am going to check twitter now...

his style is similar to becky-boy..... tell the story little bits at a time so it looks like he's 'investigating' the <whatever>

but we all know he knows how it ends - at least
most of us do.... thumbs

So what are you saying? That he knows his family was targeted to get sick but doesn't want to say that right away or that his family isn't that sick but he wants to create fear?
 Quoting: jamiejane

well, I don't know why he says the things he does - I can only speculate.

panic/fear - yes. At least on some levels. When you listen to him, actually ~listen~ to his voice inflection. It's not even close to being calming.

are his relatives getting sick? I don't know. But it wouldn't surprise me if the uncle doesn't even exist and that it's being used as a 'talking point'

sorta like.........

okay - I probably shouldn't go that route..... lolsign
