Watching people drive on ice covered freeways at 70-80 mph, crashing and sliding off everywhere, while others drive by and keep going full speed...

Amazing.

No one cares. No one thinks anything is going to happen to them. People believe larger vehicles are safer in rain, ice and snow where actually the bigger and heavier the vehicle the harder it is to control. A phone conversation or texting is more important than paying attention to what you are doing.

The latest thing around here is to make a turn from the opposite lane. Lots of people making dangerous U-turns too.

Most who don't have a license don't care. There are always ways around buying a car without a license. Lots of stolen license plates around. Lots of people driving without insurance. Most traffic tickets result in a fine and a lot of people don't even bother paying the tickets.

For me its the asshole drivers that weave in and out of traffic trying to beat traffic....for instance on a stretch of crowded city street, this guy was driving all crazy weaving lane to lane and causing lots of near accidents and honking....I'm driving safely and at the speed limit and I'm still next to him at every red light...

He did not "beat traffic" the only thing he did was to SLOW down traffic and create a safety hazard and raise the stress level of all drivers around him....

Now multiply this guy X 10....

Last week some jack ass was riding my bumper like 3 feet off. I was going over the speed limit already.

Luckily i saw a dead opossum coming up so I swerved to hit it with my truck. It popped and showered road kill fluids all over his lexus. LOL! He got pissed as hell. Knew i did it on purpose. He came flying by erratically.

Then he pulled into where I was going like a mile up the road. Fucking dilsnick. I parked right by him and he didn't say shit. Dudes are always tough behind the wheel but toe to toe they freeze up like a mannequin.

Around here we have the following:

Chaldeans
Bengalis
Vietnamese
Thai
Phillipino
Ethnic Poles
Ukranians

All on the road at the same time in the same 10 sq mile area.

I fear for my life in traffic on a moment to moment basis.

These groups make standard Issue "Japanese, Indian, Arab" immigrants look like driving instructors.

I have a crazy and that keeps a handful of pennies accessible just so she can throw them at the next car at pisses her off like you were describing.

i hate it when i am riding down the freeway with someone and they take their hands off the wheel to gesture. they're already running their mouth and they gotta let go of the steering wheel to gesture.. could it possibly be more DRAMATICidiots

last week someone hit my car while it was parked and drove away. I can no longer open the passenger door. I am insured but there will still be a $500 deductible. Merry Christmas to the jackass who did that. I hope a neighbor comes forward and takes responsibility or I find evidence on a car. So far nothing. But I will need to fix it soon. That money is my christmas bonus and I would rather have put it in the bank since I live paycheck to paycheck.

Also on my daily commute there is a highway that narrows down to one lane due to construction, the signs point to this way in advance of it happening and yet everyday individuals (always driving giant cars) drive this lane all the way until it runs out and cut in front of the person driving in the proper lane. They just cut over despite horns honking or the fact that the lane is already occupied. One ass almost drove me into the barrier because as I was driving along, he hit the gas to speed up at the last moment to cut in front of me leaving me no where to go but a cement barrier or his car! I had to slam on my brakes and horn and that guy never looked back. Like he wanted to cause an accident and failed. All the guy had to do was merge into traffic like a normal person. What is the matter with people like that? I want to bust their face.

thanks for this thread, I feel like driving stress is building up in me and I want to just punch the next person who crosses me.

Its not only driving. In the past couple weeks I've seen people challenge cars and trucks speeding down the street to cross against the light. I've seen about 5-6 people almost get hit this season. its like they wanted to die.

It happened again just this morning. And when the truck honked at the woman she rolled her eyes.

Has anyone mentioned yet the assholes
who talk on their cell while driving but can't figure out how they're on display when using their *left* hand .. Trying to be incognito but it's so obvious.

Two nights ago in Bangor, Maine someone was dragged under a car past 3 traffic lights and into a parking lot before being noticed. Unfortunately they did not survive.

i wonder this everyday. drivers in minnesota are fucking the most unaware and unintelligent drivers i have ever encountered. they also love going 15 mph under the speed limit in the left lane playing speed police. its infuriating

My favorite? Mine is where you're driving along the freeway, about five or six miles and hour over the posted speed limit (dry payment), in the right lane and you have one car following you for about two or three mile. As you approach an off-ramp, the bozo driver of this car decides you are going too slow, passes you and barely - and I mean barely - clears your front fender so they can use the off-ramp. I've lost count after the tenth or so time this has happened to me.

I can't stand the people who, if you are in front of them, no matter how fast you are going, you are in their WAY.

And let me just take this opportunity to tell anybody out there if YOU have those new neon blue silver headlights -- - the rest of us can't see crap when you're driving towards us.

That's right.. I'll be going about 10 miles over the speed limit as it is and still have people riding my ass like I'm some old lady.

Another thing that erks me (sorry if mentioned) is people who will pull out in front of you all fast coming out of a parking lot or side street, but then immediately press the brakes and proceed to practically crawl!

I've finally got to man up and get my license as I'll be moving out of the city come fall.

I've honestly been afraid (still kind of am) to because of these reckless assholes.

I don't want to fucking die because some douche bag is showing off or some teenage girl just can't wait to LOLZ to her friend's text.

Since I moved to Maine, I discovered a previously unknown, unwritten rule. If you have your left directional on, you have the right of way. Never seen anything like it, they just don't care, the left directional is on, they'll wait until you're on top of them and then cut you right off.
