I am actually being serious. While looking close up at shines, I see what appear to be microscopic images.

My theory (could be very wrong) is that these shines are caused by light reflections off the surface of the object (obviously). At the specific shine points, there is a greater "concentration" of light, based on your relative angle/focal point. From this it follows that "concentrated" light will reflect "concentrated" images onto your retina.

If you are at a close enough distance, why would you not be able to interpret these reflections onto your retina as a focused image? the light coming from the shines could be reflecting in a similar way to every day naked eye images because they are at a special angle.

I've noticed this when I am wearing shiny or multi-hued nail polish ohyeah I focus, and when I do I see what I compare it to as what a nebula might look like in space. All sorts of tendrils and "threads" branching out and melting into one another in the light.
