But he knows how much i likes my glp. So, when I complained about not having the time to finally write this book I have been putting off, he kindly (and timidly) suggested that if I didn't spend so much time CT-porning, I would have the time needed to actually write. So, now i think i shall compromise by turning glp into a "resource", hahaha! So, anyone else out there struggling to get the words out? Any success in overcoming writer's block? Any hurdles, struggles, successes? Maybe we creative writers could have a little cheer leading thread to help keep us going. And also, when we do give in to temptation and log in, this thread in our "recent threads" might shame us into making our visits a little shorter so we can get back to our masterpieces!! And if GLP is "helping" me out, then he can hardly complain, can he? Codependence is no way to write...maybe you should start a book club. |

Novel is done. I'm curious - do any of you use Amazon to sell your writing? How do you like it? I'm thinking about trying it out. It would be my first published novel although some of my writing had been published (long ago) in a magazine called NewBlood. |

Writing is always a struggle (for me). I'm rather slow and tire easily so I'm happy when I achieve 5000 words a week. I've never suffered from block, so I can't help you with it. Well, unless your definition of block includes "I don't feel like writing today, let's rather do something else". It's great to have a supportive s.o. I hope you'll be able to finish your book and write many others afterward. I knew we had a group of writers here on glp, but i am surprised about how many there are!! Nice to be in such great company. Thanks for chiming in! I guess for me writer's block isnt that i dont know what is going to happen next, more about how to advance the story between one part of my plot to the next. I have a great plot written out this time, and so far no blocks yet. i had a major one last week, almost gave up. Finally i decided that if i went back to the beginning and took a different route, it would make the overall story easier to tell. so far it is working out for me. Funny how a minor change can have a huge impact. :malefav: I love this place!! |

Looks like i might not hit 4,000 words tonight after all. fibro took a nose dive, lol. feels like i have been hit in the back with a bat. i guess that means it is time to go snuggle up and watch some star trek. Perhaps after some rest i will be able to get back at it. Very frustrating to have to stop at exactly the moment the story was beginning to take shape! grrrr. :malefav: I love this place!! |

CT Porning Quoting: TheyWalkAmongUs. Whats the story about, is it fiction? Reality? Baed on CTPorning? thanks for the stars!! it is fantasy. Been a fantasy nut since i was able to read. Age three or four i guess. I could read before i went to school, thank you sesame street, lol. I dont like describing what my stories are about, because they always come out sounding dumb! If i had to compare it to something you would know - um, not quite game of thrones but that target market is who i would be aiming for. adult fantasy, not youth or children. Lord of the rings might come a little closer than game of thrones except without all the ramblings, lol. It will hopefully be a trilogy. that is the plan anyway. :malefav: I love this place!! |
