Well, writing last night was just not in the cards for me! After an hour and a half of sitting in the worst kind of plastic chair imaginable at the girls' Christmas concert (which was adorable by the way!) I was in too much pain to concentrate when i came home. Plus my client sent me some irritating revisions that had to get done before i could go to bed. For some reason when i save illustrator files as pdfs, it will occasionally jumble up a few letters. Not many, not enough to glance at it and see there is a problem. Usually just enough that when they print them they see it. I have yet to figure out the solution to that annoyance! Now today we are getting another storm. Means kids are here. Means writing will be hard what with all the background noise. I am not worried- I am still miles ahead of where I thought I would be by now. I am sure at some point i will get a few thousand words done! In the meantime, i thought I would share some cute resources for struggling writers. These are generators! Everything from plots, to character names, to plot twists to get you over that hump! Enjoy!! [link to writers-den.pantomimepony.co.uk] [link to writingwhilethericeboils.blogspot.ca] [link to tvtoaster.wordpress.com] sometimes it is fun to just click them a bunch of times to see what it spits out. You just might find a gem amidst all the hilarity! Hope to be back soon with another screenshot. stupid snow days, :malefav: I love this place!! |

Also, not sure if i have said ti recently, but thank you so much to everyone that keeps coming to visit this thread. Even the haters, since they do bump it from time to time, I have a hard time sticking with things, especially when fear of failure kicks in, lol. This thread makes me feel a bit obligated to keep going, so thanks!! :malefav: I love this place!! |

[link to i.imgur.com] 18,013 words. Feeling good about it now. The plot has taken a few surprising twsts, and i have found myself having to deviate from my notes a bit. So now I do not have the confidence i once had that i knew where the story was going and when. With my notes, i could see the whole story stretched out before me like a highway. Now, it is like a road that winds back and forth, and i can only see bits and pieces of it ahead of me. A bit more nerve wracking, but a lot more interesting i think! :malefav: I love this place!! |

Lol, whoring your book on GLP when you're a hardline status quo lamestream shill. Just pick up the newspaper or turn on the tv - it's the same social dictatorial nonsense you spout here. |

Thought I had more. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 50179439 But it's coming along. We must write even we are producing crap, because the only way to improve is to keep writing. It's time to wrap up my story... need a good climax and don't want to disappoint any future readers (if there are any). Good luck GG. Oh, and fuck those assholes that are trying to ruin this thread. They're just pissed because they can't do what you are doing. Otherwise, why would they waste their time here? None are writers that I can see. :) KEEP GOING! Nuts! Missed this comment, hiding at the bottom of the page like this. 71,000 word count is very impressive to me! How long did it take you to get that far? I know what you mean about wanting a good climax. It can make or break a story. I was lucky in that the ones for my book sort of fell into place without any planning. I wrote the outlines for the trilogy in one go, and i was just in some sort of zone that day. Normally i have trouble coming up with good endings. Did you see the links i posted yesterday about the plot twist generator? I wonder if you clicked the button enouhg times something usable might show up? lol, if not, you are bound to get a few chuckles out of some of the suggestions! I hope you do get that perfect ending - i hope you have millions of readers to. But mostly I hope you are not still mad that i missed your comment and that you come back to tell us all how it goes? :malefav: I love this place!! |
