Quoting: Kent 54313590 I could make one for you, Kate Blanchet? Thank you for the link. Haven't been to Rense.com for like 10 years or so. Pearls long in between. Take care P.S. About "Captain Beefheart" Having no musical training or instrumental experience, throughout his career Van Vliet had relied on a musical director within the band who could translate his often unorthodox ideas into a form that was musically playable. This role had been successively filled by Alex St. Clair, John French, and Bill Harkleroad on his previous albums. With the entire Magic Band having quit after the recording of his previous album he no longer had such an intermediary. As a result the album is generally considered the nadir of Van Vliet's musical career. One of the musicians, Micheal Smotherman, said "Don was just as confused as he could be throughout the whole process... I would push his face up to the microphone and he would start singing. And when it was time to stop I would pull him back gently. Just one more, now that I am inspired, and not to far of topic. Quite a few things in common Tom Waits and Van Vliet. Golly neds! I'd love a Cate avatar .. even half of one, lol! Thank you! About Captain Beefheart, this is the first time listening all the way through. I'll have to catch these lyrics to feel him. Quite a story about Van Vliet. Living life as it rolls, back when you could actually do that and land on your feet. Tom has two parents who were english teachers..literature in his genes. And his instinct to jazz, no mistakes or accidents. |

I'll address the above plus other thread (don't want to go into a personal convo over there. Here is better. Sleep? Sorry you're not nodding off as usual. Too much flying around in the world partyline..+ our heads no doubt. Nah, not sleeping quite either. Cracked lower left floating rib or pulled a ligament there around 4 days ago and lay there for hours. ie., 12am to 3am about. BTW, the 'compressed files' you spoke of is knowing nobody really cares, yet throwing in a little background anyway in a state of nicely grounding pain and shallow breathing, LOL! Probably ought to be staying in and not hauling, oh well :D paying later no doubt. |

Did you see my post yesterday when I got seriously banned from commenting in the largest newspaper in Norway. I did complain in a very serious manner to the Editors as a journalist, press-card, Journalist Union membership etc. Within 3 hours they put it up again, and I did get a formal apology. Considerable time diff. Norway/Colorado- 7 hours or so. Take care |
