Yeah, I've been seeing it as well all Fall.
I think there are many threads on it, but there is a lot of noise from opinions in them.

I have went out on several occasions to look for this south/southwest object in the other threads to no avail. This was around 70 degrees in the sky and the sun had not fully set yet and I watch Venus over a tree in the backyard when the sky is clear and this was well south of that. Yes, I have been seeing what you are seeing. Sorry, I thought the other threads were discussing something similar.
