I continue to be surprised that so many media images are just terribly unflattering photos of her looking like a banshee, mad and bitchin' about it, or just plain mean.

The media bent over backwards to keep Jackie Kennedy Onasis' image pure and attractive, so I know they can do it. Every image in the print media is OKed by an editor.

I can't figure it out.

I dunno dear. I think it's the slate, or as some say the canvas one starts with. Gotta have a nice blank canvas to work with. Must start from there. Canvas gotta be decent and clear. Also, if the insides are bad, can't put those new wineskins on the outside, one might say.

Other than that, I don't know. I really think one doesn't have to be exceptionally beautiful to begin with, but must have something from the inside flowing through to the outside - something womanly and nice.

That cover represents what she could look like after the following surgical procedures:

1. Full face and neck lift - deep plane variety - lifting the muscles at the deepest layers and tacking everything back to its home position when she was about 25 years old. A facelift of this depth takes a while to heal from but it will last for a good ten to fifteen years before she would even consider a redo of it.

2. Full endoscopic brow lift.

3. Lower lid lift.

4. Medium depth peel (either laser or phenol) to resurface and even skin tone as well as remove small blemishes and freckles, dark spots, etc.

5. Injections of various fillers after the facelift is fully healed to give her back the volume that time has taken away. One of the primary way we visually assess a persons age is by the fullness or lack of fullness in the face. Replacing that fullness can make a 50 year old look like they are 30 again (assuming wrinkles and sags are also removed surgically prior to injections of fillers.) This is also the technique Madonna underwent to achieve the look she now has where she looks visually like she did when she was 25 or 30. It takes an expert to get the right amount of various fillers, and to get them all balanced correctly… but once done, it can be maintained by a visit to the dermatologist every few months.

Professional make-up applied before any photo shoot. While some women can come close, to get this kind of perfection, it is something best left to the experts.

The cost of the whole shooting match to make her look in person the way the photoshop mag cover makes her look now - Probably somewhere between 50 and 70 thousand dollars. The facial surgery is going to run about $40-50k by itself and the rest of it is going to be spent on the peels and/or laser jobs and the installation of the right fillers to restore the volume to her aging face.

This kind of surgery frequently makes people not only look like they are younger, but actually makes them better than they were prior to the procedures. The time for the whole thing is a little more than a year. She would have to stay out of the public eye for about five or six weeks for the initial surgical recovery and then again for 3 to 4 weeks after the skin resurfacing, and again for three or four weeks after the installation of the major fillers.

Except that.... 'she?'.....

Good Thanksgiving! You? Snow? I was in kitchen for 7 1/2 hours straight, cooking and we ate at 9pm, lol. My Dothraki better half didnt think about warming up the ham n turkey till 7pm! And that Khal still said the food was just OK. No dragon booty for him!

Lol, that's awesome! Ours was great if slightly more pedestrian. :) I cooked for 2 days and wore myself out making an epic feast and still Mr. Rhombus wonders why I say my favorite part of Thanksgiving is collapsing with a cup of coffee after the eating and dishes are done.

He did, however, do the lion's share of the work in decorating for Christmas yesterday, so I can't complain.

No snow here, but they say we may get a little on Wednesday.
