This extraordinary video shows the moment a huge unidentified creature is excavated and loaded onto a truck.

The two-minute 14 second clip posted on YouTube shows hundreds of bewildered people gathered about the monster, which looks like something out of the 1990 Kevin Bacon film Tremors.

The video is said to have been taken in Vietnam, although this is disputed by at least one internet user who says the people featured in it are speaking the Khmer language of Cambodia.

The creature has what looks like some sort of fin and a powerful-looking jaw.

Some YouTube users claim the behemoth is a whale although if this is the case then how it came to be inland remains unclear.
