this is a direct marketing scam. the calls are taken in the same call center in maine that takes thousands of calls for over-priced, low-end natural supplements

purchase by phone and I bet they offer you a "$25 gift card to walmart" at the end with a "14 day risk free trial to value plus"

Re: I woke up at 5 AM to this prepping infomercial
You can invest all the time and money into prepping you want, but you better take some human behavior courses as well, if you're not too keen on the subject. I don't care how much you prepare, there are going to be thousands who didn't.
If you were one to announce your "prepping" habits to those around you, you might want to store up a lot of ammo as well, unless you plan to feed a lot of pissed off starving people. Sharing tips of survival is one thing. But you might want to keep your stockpile inventory to yourself, if you plan on it lasting any length of time. Let's hope it doesn't come to that.

Agreed. I just thought it was strange that this is now going main stream.

You are probably right. The same number of meals sells on Amazon for about $60.00 more.

OP, prepping is common sense. Preparedness companies like Wise, EFoods, Food insurance, Legacy, Mountain House , My Patriot Supply, Survival Essentials and such provide a service just like any other company.

There is an incredible amount of folks paying attention to the happenings in this country and being prepared for an unforeseen event provides the only sense of security they can get, next to hope. And we all know where hope gets us sometimes.

You cannot dismiss the fact that people are a bit un-nerved lately with all the potential 'doom' scenarios. Food is a basic need, and provides security for people. So does water, and things that go 'boom'. Pay attention. This is Shabbatt and in the still of the early morning, that may be His voice speaking to you.

Don't expect help from outside sources unless you want to be caught in their snare. Self Reliance is the name of the game in this world now, and you have a chance to be self reliant.

DHS didn't buy up all those billions of rounds of ammo so they can sit on them. FEMA isn't stockpiling storable food for YOU. They are stockpiling to provide for their own.

This is targeted at Mormons, for whom food storage is part of their doctrine. Marie Osmand is widely known as a Mormon.

And don't bother making Moron jokes...it's pedestrian.

I make my own dehydrated meals from leftovers. I never throw food in the trash. I bought a dehydrator and dry the hell out of all foods and then vacuum pack them for much less than this prepping kit.

Take my advice... Your money will soon be worthless or inaccessible. Divest in your worthless stocks etc, get your money from the banks and but some food, water and secure location away from marauding and desperate people, preferably underground.

Pray that you are counted worthy by my Lord Jesus to escape the coming tribulation.... Hell will be unleashed on the earth.

Yeah that's why you don't bother, when they start wanting your money. I have frequent blackouts in my area because of tall trees and strong winds, but I only keep a coupla weeks of supplies.

Prepping is bullshit, ok if you enjoy the hobby/skills aspect but don't give them your money.

just get bulk beans rice and such 25-50lb. easy and cheap. learn to hunt fish trap and grow food. forgotten skill we all need to acquire again and youll have a good time doing it, will give you a sense of self worth.
 Quoting: AMEBIX

when the shit hits the fan,, all those squirrels to hunt will be quickly gone,, that is not a dependable statement unless you live in a forest…..where there is game and still it won't last long. there is no place to hunt or fish where I live anyway…. I discovered beans can get old and will not cook up well…. so I canned my prep….. and now I don't need water and heat when the time comes to prepare it. I probably have about 6 weeks of water plus any I can catch off my roof should it rain or snow. I have more than 2 months of food. and at least that much of energy to provide some heat and cooking.
 Quoting: Abinadi

That's what I thought, where are you going to do this hunting and trapping? Unless you are going to hunt dogs and cats, there's not much animal life in most cities, where most people live. The government or the states own most of the woods and they don't like people willy-nilly going out there to hunt. Farm and pasture land is already owned by people who really do not welcome herds of strangers coming in shooting all over the place.

I think that freeze dried meat is a better option for long term, frozen for short term.

Sounds like you have a good plan going for you. Good job!

don't just prep carbs, you'll die from diseases and malnutrition, you have to prep protein, fruits and veggies.

Sure you won't starve to death on rice, but you'll be worthless when the fight comes to your door.

I have found a fascinating person to watch about prepping, "thepatrioticnurse" on youtube.

She and mainprepper have done some great video's.

She is matterofact, blunt and doesn't shove daisy's in your face.

I like that.

I wholeheartedly agree with this! Even if 'nothing' happens, you will have eatable food when crops go bad, you have a bad year with no income, natural disasters, or just a supplement to your everyweekly shopping, that helps you cut down the high costs of food inflation prices.

Wise food sucks it is TVP soy no real meat. years age they had a free bucket, not so free they keep sending one a month it took 6 months to stop them. then had to fight for a refund and return. If you are thinking of getting some freeze dried food GET Agusons farms entrees Real meat for about the same price way cheaper from sams club then anywhere else.
Note to the Beans, potatoes and foragers you need 1200 calories per day to maintain life, 2000 plus to have energy to do anything so good luck to ya. But you are not as smart as a squirrel.

With a 25 year shelf life I am 50 so when I am 75 if I have not used this oh well. A years worth is less than my auto insurance for one year.

New Living Translation (NLT)
The Sayings of King Lemuel

31 The sayings of King Lemuel contain this message,[a] which his mother taught him.

A Wife of Noble Character

10 Who can find a virtuous and capable wife?
She is more precious than rubies.
11 Her husband can trust her,
and she will greatly enrich his life.
12 She brings him good, not harm,
all the days of her life.

13 She finds wool and flax
and busily spins it.
14 She is like a merchant’s ship,
bringing her food from afar.
15 She gets up before dawn to prepare breakfast for her household
and plan the day’s work for her servant girls.

16 She goes to inspect a field and buys it;
with her earnings she plants a vineyard.
17 She is energetic and strong,
a hard worker.
18 She makes sure her dealings are profitable;
her lamp burns late into the night.

19 Her hands are busy spinning thread,
her fingers twisting fiber.
20 She extends a helping hand to the poor
and opens her arms to the needy.
21 She has no fear of winter for her household,
for everyone has warm[c] clothes.

22 She makes her own bedspreads.
She dresses in fine linen and purple gowns.
23 Her husband is well known at the city gates,
where he sits with the other civic leaders.
24 She makes belted linen garments
and sashes to sell to the merchants.

25 She is clothed with strength and dignity,
and she laughs without fear of the future.
26 When she speaks, her words are wise,
and she gives instructions with kindness.
27 She carefully watches everything in her household
and suffers nothing from laziness.

28 Her children stand and bless her.
Her husband praises her:
29 “There are many virtuous and capable women in the world,
but you surpass them all!”

30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last;
but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised.
31 Reward her for all she has done.
Let her deeds publicly declare her praise.

then you will not prepare and the outcome is obvious. Freeze dried is nice but your local grocery also has beans and rice, a long term staple. Powdered milk and canned milk have long life. You need enough stored food to get you to a harvest.

The government used to have stored food, now we are global and have just in time inventory shipment. Useless in a disaster.
