Notice how the weather was cold and stormy. Enough they hoped would keep the crowds from showing up. Weather wars. That occurred to me too. Might be just a coincidence, of course, but I do believe they can do some degree of weather control, so I wouldn't be at all surprised. Do you know if there was any heavy chemtrailing in the area a day or two before? That usually precedes rain here.
