Unfortunately it's not theoretical anymore. But even if that's true....the problem is that our corporatist government has erected a massive system that enables them to record, collect and USE this data, whenever THEY want to, for whatever purpose THEY want to. It's one thing for something to be physically possible....it's another to create an entire system that revolves around doing it.
