Interesting. Thanks for posting.

Bit off topic, heres another tip that was told to me from a cold climate friend, that i have used two times.Put a large candle in your car, mines under seat, its like 4" dia by 6" tall, thats in a tin container(home smell good candles)if you have car problems in cold weather,it will give off enough heat to keep you from freezing an actual keep you somewhat warm, always crack window a lil

cool, but you would be breathing what ever burning all
those candles gives off.
possibly made in a country with no regulations

Sure you do, wouldn't a candle under a car seat be a potential fire hazard?

Burning candles without the flower pots works just as good.

Fill a metal coffee container with a big candle, matches/lighter, protein bars, hard candies, handwarmers, a light stick or two (those ones you stick on the road)....

And just like you said, if you even need a bit of warmth, light the candle inside the coffee can- the reflective sides actually creates a good amount of warmth- not like turning the heat on high, but enough to take off the chill.

Sure, but you can always use soy, beeswax, organic, etc. etc. whatever kind of candle floats your boat.

I love it. Can it be done with bigger candles?

The pot is about converting the high intensity low IR (infrared) radiation into low intensity high IR.

Yes, normal candles are made of petroleum products....beeswax would be best but more expensive.

Wouldn't have thought so. The inner clay pot must get very hot and radiate heat, but like the bricks in electric storage heaters. Hmm, I wonder if you can buy those from the dump or something....
