I am curious; what do you know about the Rapture. For Christians it is only important to know and believe in Christ.
The rapture is not really important; whether it exists or not is important to you as a strawman; perhaps you think using terms allows you to be knowledgeable.
This type of angst you have about Christianity suggests you must be very afraid or unsure of your own beliefs. If you fear the unknown or known there is an answer.
There are things greater than you or I; Most people sense this greater power; others like addicts and sociopaths believe they are in control; real freedom and knowledge come from understanding that we are not in control of what happens around us. Once one is aware of this; they seek to understand themselves and what place they have in the world. I came to Christ through trying to understand my place in this Universe. Buddhists have much to teach; there is much to learn in Hindu meditations; Metaphysics gives you a road map in searching for understanding. I really do hope you find what you are seeking; taunting others is not time well spent when that time could be used to better yourself or others.
Quoting: rachaelsdad Your poor attempt at 'pop' psychology and faux humility has made me chuckle with delight.
Your primitive utilization of simple psychological concepts, and your bizarre extrapolation of said concepts to try to elicit a predictable response, has left me laughing. You should be more subtle in your methods, and not try using psychological concepts and theories that you have little or no understanding off.
May I humbly suggest the following books for study:

In response to your questions,I would say your ‘God’ does not exist. He is a construct that you are using to justify and validate yourself. Your post, here today, and its context and tone, are merely self-judgements. You are not judging me, you are judging yourself, in psychology this is known as self-projection.
Your quote:
‘Real freedom and knowledge come from understanding that we are not in control of what happens around us....’ is very revealing. It shows you acknowledge the chaos of the universe. It also shows your fear of said chaos. This is the reason you have attempted to 'push away' your fear with a melange of various religious concepts (Buddhism, Hinduism, Christianity etc).
I suggest you use another avenue beside 'God' to help remove your fear of life. Religion is a metaphorical prison for the weak and like many Christians, who post on GLP, you will become 'institutionalized.'
I say, embrace the chaos of the universe and set yourself free, before it is too late.
Before you ask, yes, I am qualified to assess you.
