Open-mindedness is being able to examine the data from a fresh, unbiased perspective without importing preconceived ideas. Despite what most say, humans are almost incapable of doing this.

The age old question of philosophers "Who am I" requires a Rock like Christ, as a strong base, to continually define ourselves in Christ. All that is required to believe in Jebus is a sad desperate need, from emotionally immature people, to abdicate responsibility for their life, to an invisible 'sky-farie.' The ability to blindly believe and follow dogmatic doctrine,no matter how ridiculous, will also help.
