How can you "debunk Sitchin" when he is only quoting the most widely accepted translations of the Sumerian texts by the likes of Samuel Noah Kramer? For the New World research he quotes the likes of William H. Prescott, and Victor W. VonHagen.
These were the giants of archaeology long before Sitchin wrote his books.
All his sources are the most mainstream and reputable.
Sitchin just took the texts at face value and popularised them.

This video was another confirmation ...Trey has a great delivery and I tend to think more aligned with him regarding the 'consensual' aspect in the 'marriage'.

Perhaps it was arranged at the beginning...but later on the violence must have deterred consent,IMHO.

I have to agree; though it began as consensual it later became forced. Same thing with everything else the evil ones "made a deal" for, since we're told also that when people could no longer provide enough food to satisfy them, they began to eat the people. This wouldn't impact human responsibility though, since humans had to have agreed to work with the evil ones in the first place. But like Darth Vader, "We are altering the deal; pray we don't alter it any further!"

I love Mike he's a great guy.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 45958835

What impresses me about him is that he doesn't let his personal preferences blind him to other interpretations or rule them out.

I'm listening to his C2C interview right now, and one question was about Bible prophecy. He made the points that prophecy is deliberately cryptic, and that one's interpretation always depends upon certain foundational assumptions. So while he has his personal views, he allows that other views about prophecy are possible and shouldn't be summarily dismissed.
 Quoting: Keep2theCode

I've listened to Mike for quite a long time. One place he won't go is the recognition that Jesus was one of these ruling angels (the one to whom God delegated rule of ancient Israel). Jesus himself says this in John 10:22-39, when he quotes Psalm 82:6 in verse 34 and calls himself the "Son of God" in verse 36. Here is the entire Psalm, which is a condemnation of the gods of the nations:

PSALM 82:1 A Psalm of Asaph. God has taken His place in the divine council; in the midst of the gods He holds judgment:
2 "How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked? Selah
3 Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute.
4 Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked."
5 They have neither knowledge nor understanding, they walk about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken.
6 I said, "You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you;
7 nevertheless, like men you shall die, and fall like any prince."
8 Arise, O God, judge the earth; for you shall inherit all the nations! (ESV)

The writer of Hebrews (quoting from Psalm 45) also states that Jesus was among this group of ruling angels and because of his obedience (contrasted with their disobedience), he was elevated above the other 70 gods/Watchers/Archons:

HEBREWS 1:8 But of the Son He says, "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom.
9 You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness beyond your companions." (ESV)

Those "companions" were the ruling angels, the "gods" of the nations spoken of by Paul:

EPHESIANS 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. (ESV)

When stripped of human tradition, the Bible tells an amazing story about what's really going on in this world...

When stripped of human tradition, the Bible tells an amazing story about what's really going on in this world...
 Quoting: Eliyahu 49880398

I find your human tradition about Jesus far less credible than that you allege to be the case with the Bible.

Not only is your view a mainstay of aberrant groups claiming to be Christian, it is easily debunked. Have you never read even the first chapter of Hebrews? How about the eyewitness accounts we call the Gospels?

The logic of your argument is also fallacious, as it argues that "the sons of God" in their contexts must be identical to "the Son of God" in their contexts. Jesus also called himself "the son of man", yet what angel was ever really human?

And that verse from Ephesians doesn't even support your claim, since it speaks of MALEVOLENT entities that we "wrestle against". You cannot use scripture (which you called "human tradition") only when you think you can twist it to your advantage, so I can quote the scriptures that contradict your claims.

ADDED: You only cited a carefully-selected snippet from Hebrews 1. Here's more:

5 For to which of the angels did God ever say,

“You are my Son;
today I have become your Father”[a]?

Or again,

“I will be his Father,
and he will be my Son”?

6 And again, when God brings his firstborn into the world, he says,

“Let all God’s angels worship him.”[c]

7 In speaking of the angels he says,

“He makes his angels spirits,
and his servants flames of fire.”[d]

8 But about the Son he says,

“Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever;
a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.
9 You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness;
therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions
by anointing you with the oil of joy.”[e]
 Quoting: Heb. 1

Clearly, the reason "he won't go there" is because there's no place to go; your viewpoint lacks scriptural and logical support. And the "companions" are PEOPLE, not angels.

So now, Eliyahu, please stay on the topic of the ancient beings and not a rabbit trail on whether Jesus was God.

Yes, I've read the 1st chapter of Hebrews. I quoted from it in my post. Here are another couple of tidbits from Hebrews that destroy the Trinity fallacy foisted on most Christians:

HEBREWS 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that he, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone.
10 For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the captain of their salvation PERFECT through sufferings. (NKJV)

HEBREWS 5:6 As He also says in another place: "You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek";
7 who, in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save him from death, and was heard because of his godly fear,
8 though he was a son, yet he LEARNED obedience by the things which he suffered.
9 And having been PERFECTED, he became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey him,
10 called by God as High Priest "according to the order of Melchizedek,"
11 of whom we have much to say, and hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing. (NKJV)

The author of Hebrews states that Messiah LEARNED from his suffering as a human and was PERFECTED(i.e., "completed") by it. It's hard to see how these statements fit with the co-equal, co-eternal status conferred to Jesus by the Trinity dogma.

Understanding the true nature of the Messiah doesn't denigrate him. To the contrary, it elevates him to a new level after his willing sacrifice for humanity. This elevation is mentioned several times in the Bible. Here is one from Paul:

PHILIPPIANS 2:8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.
9 Therefore God also has highly exalted him and given him the name which is above every name, (NKJV)

Drop your preconceived notions and read the text for what it actually says...

What you fail to realize is that these topics are intricately related to one another. The Bible describes a cosmic battle for earth waged between the "gods of the nations" (the ruling angels who followed Satan's ways) vs. Messiah and the holy angels who followed God's ways.

Yes, I've read the 1st chapter of Hebrews. I quoted from it in my post.
 Quoting: Eliyahu 49880398

You missed the part I added, where I quote more of Heb. 1 and show that you clearly ignored the explicit teaching that Jesus is NOT an angel.

Here are another couple of tidbits from Hebrews that destroy the Trinity fallacy foisted on most Christians:
 Quoting:

You are off topic. As the whole passage of Phil. 2:5-11 states (as well as John 1:1), Jesus laid his divine privileges aside to become human, then returned to his place. He was never an angel.

What you fail to realize is that these topics are intricately related to one another. The Bible describes a cosmic battle for earth waged between the "gods of the nations" (the ruling angels who followed Satan's ways) vs. Messiah and the holy angels who followed God's ways.
 Quoting:

What YOU fail to realize is that (a) you cannot dictate the thread to me and (b) you continually lift verses out of context and (c) your ideas are nothing new, certainly not to me or anyone else who studies the scriptures. I have already pointed out details of this cosmic battle, but though Satan is a created being, Jesus is the Creator; see Col. 1:15-20
15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.
 Quoting:

Now stop with this attempt to hijack my thread.

Thanks; that site does mention Dr. Heiser. That must be why C2C interviewed him. Interestingly enough, in that interview Heiser points out Stichin's error in thinking Nibiru is a planet or star. It really just means "crossing" or "transition", what we might call an alignment that signifies something.

Thank you for the video; it is good for Christians to understand there are alternate views. Do not be afraid to question what you have been taught. We are meant to question, but to do so with faith and an open heart. I learned to come to Christ through a small book by Emmanuel Swedenborg. Understood prayer with Buddhist meditations. I learned some more things in the Video. Hopefully they will add to my walk with Christ.

I especially enjoyed your comments as they related to the New Testament teachings. The New is His Teachings and these are the teachings Christians must live by. 5 stars.

I like to define open-mindedness as an open window with a screen: it lets in the fresh air but keeps out the bugs.

Or another thing I like to say: Truth fears no examination. The mark of faith is not to close one's mind but to fearlessly attack one's own beliefs. This has been my lifelong approach to the Bible, and the reason I stand on it so confidently, such that I can affirm without reservation that Jesus is the only Way, Truth, and Life.

Here is a very interesting article that ties this research in the video to how it pertains to our present world: [link to www.alienresistance.org]

ADDED: If there's one thing everyone will agree on, it's that the predominate characteristic of our age is deception. Everything is a lie; what we've been told about history, what we're told about current events, and what public officials pretend to be. Understanding what these "aliens" and entities are comes from knowing where they've been before and will pass themselves off as again. "Aliens" are not evolved pond scum from another galaxy; they are inter-dimensional beings who lie, cheat, and steal out of their intense hatred of mankind.

This is about to happen; don't be fooled.

Go away, troll. You troll all the Christian threads, because you're obsessed and mental. Go away.

It seems you are evil. Satan welcomes a new disciple into his flock.......

Go away, troll. You are obsessed and mental, and clearly also a proof-texter. I don't even care if you understand what that means, but apparently you think Jesus was sinning when he told Peter, "Get out of my sight, Satan!"

Just go away; you're only here to get attention, and you'll get no more from me.

Or... you can keep bumping my thread and shooting yourself in the foot.
