Well, I think that Adam had pretty more conversation with Eve, so I ask myself, why did he say that respective why is this written in the bible?
Eve is the mother of all the living, Adam isn't the father of all living (else it would have be mentioned in the bible).
Cain isn't Adams son.

But the Bible states point blank that Adam was the father of Cain in Gen. 4:1-- "Adam made love to his wife Eve, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Cain."
