No Healthcare? Discuss alternative medicine for improved health/spirit.
I'm really upset at how the system is working for those who can't afford healthcare, how people are getting kicked off their plan, hours reduced, etc. So far my family is ok with our plan because our company covers, but I do not like how this is turning out. In all honesty, over the years I rarely even use our company's health insurance unless absolutely necessary and after a while I just stop going because it gets too expensive and many times, it didn't help. So I turned to alternative health care.

I have done many things to improve my life, but I will list the things I've done that had the best impact to my life:

homeopathy, 5 tibetan rites, reiki tummo & open heart meditation/prayer (the best for me so far), walking/exercise, gardening/physical work in the fresh air. most importantly, prayer from the heart and using the heart properly - our gift of love from the Creator.

I plan to get into herbals/food/vitamins. I liked echinacea (not good if you have an uncomfortable fever already), oil of oregano, magnesium pills, raw dairy, real cage free eggs, kefir (homemade).

I'm not into pot, but if I had cancer and were in my last stages, I'd look into drinking it in a tea.

I still like soda and chocolate, but overall a better diet is important.

If there's enough interest, I'll post the free usui reiki level 1 attunement and a meditation I use.

Please list your alternatives for better health.

i just remembered a few more things.

I couldn't afford going to a massage therapist, so i started rubbing myself. any sore spots, i'd rub more often. massage your lymph nodes.

anything to help a person relax keeps stress down. meditation works, but i use open heart meditation from padmacahaya.

i used to use eft. worked for a while and can be quite releasing.

stretching, yoga asana (not big on it though).

sometimes i'd trace an energy meridian line and that'll help.

with reiki or yoga meditation, the less i do, the better. letting the love cleanse the heart, cleanse the energy body, it is so sweet and gentle when feeling the love in the heart that comes from the Creator. yeah, stuff comes up, but that's fine.

there are so many things out there to make people feel better and honestly, the way things are going, we need to go back to them as many won't be able to afford going to doctors unless it's urgent.

Re: No Healthcare? Discuss alternative medicine for improved health/spirit.
After both my Parents died do to the mistakes of Allopathic medicine I refuse to go to a regular doctor for anything other than life saving procedures or broken bones.

I have Hashimotos' Thyroiditis, a immune disorder. My thyroid attacks itself basically. I have had very bad spells where I was so sick I couldn't get out of bed. I'm 41 I look pretty healthy but felt like garbage all the time. I was taking natural dessicated thyroid but I'm now off it since I started a natural Hashi's protocol.

Nascent iodine (Lugols is ok but I think nascent taste better and is superior when it comes to providing me energy.
Selenium, Magnesium, Zinc to support my iodine doses. You have to take minerals with the Iodine with Hashi's it's a must or you may feel worse.

For Infections: Oil of Oregano is king both eternally and externally. Olive Leaf Extract, Turmeric, Garlic ( chopped, let sit for 5-10 minutes swallow whole do not chew)will also kill infections. Turmeric is also my go to for aches and pains that are muscular or joint related.

I do not ingest Fluoride. I drink Spring Water or Distilled. Got a shower filter for Chlorine and other chemicals. Skin is way better feeling and I don't need conditioner for my hair.

Here is the big thing. Nothing with Bromines in it. No Brominated Flour in bread or commercial bread products. No Sodas (MT DEW is the worst). Bromine, Fluoride and Chlorine compete for ideal iodine levels in your body. Bromine will win out every time. they are are in the Halide family and Bromine will mimic the body into thinking it has enough iodine. You need iodine and with our depleted minerals in the soil we don't get anywhere near enough for optimal health. Once I detoxed from bromine, did the Iodine protocol I feel like a human again and I don't get sick.

All chronic disease can be managed via diet, supplements and herbs. Garbage in, garbage out. put good stuff for you in your body and it will thank you. Protecting yourself from the toxic world we live in is a little harder but you can minimize your exposure to chemicals pretty easily. I work with caustic chemicals for my job so I do my best to try to protect myself when working around them and detox myself several times a years.

My first Bromine detox was hell but worth it in the end. I've read studies linking bromism (Bromine toxicity) to Gulf War Syndrome. If you look at a lot of Auto immune disorders like Fibromyalgia, they have a lot of the same symptoms as Gulf War Syndrome. They were shooting those soldiers up with new Vaccines that had Bromine in them. My Roommate was one of them. Came home from the GW with Kidney problems, Fatique, gout, Fogginess, strange rashes, the whole symptom list really. He was very young too. He helped himself with Echineacea, Goldenseal, garlic supplements and eating only a Veggie based diet for 3 years. He had the same detox symptoms I had. so if you are chronically sick look into bromism.

I do see a holistic doc for things that are too serious for me to handle at home. Knowing your limits and when to seek help when you it's serious, is always wise. I also see a Chiropractor for my back. I was pain free after one visit and it was less than a copay for a regular doc who would just throw pain killers at me.

Vitamin D3 5,000 IUs daily during non-summer months is quite helpful.

Vitamin D is actually not a vitamin......but a very important hormone.

During the summer, lay out in a swimsuit during mid-day for about 25 minutes........and your body will create approx. 10,000 IUs from the sunshine. Do not use sunscreen during this time period.

D3.......among many other things.........helps to bolster the immune system and prevent cytokine storm. It helps to keep the immune system regulated and from attacking normal tissue......so it is helpful for auto-immune disorders.

Most people go deficient of D3 during winter months. This is also likewise when much sickness is reported.

Most of the cells in your body have receptor sites for the hormone D3.
