Knox gelatin is still made from cow bone marrow. I wouldn't really trust any other brand.

This post jogs my memory from a book I read on Yogi Masters 10 or more years ago where the Master had 2 of his students go to where a man had died and cut off the meat from both his legs and "cheeks" and bring it back.

The Master then proceeded to cook the "meat" and it sickened the senses of the students until they realized that he had somehow transformed the "meat" into more of a different (edible) substance.
