Sure, 99% of the comments on YouTube were pure crap, but this really does suck. It seems as though I can reply to comments but I can't comment without replying. Any other popular video hosting sites where you can easily comment?

But as somebody said in a comment in an article about all this, it has nothing to do with stopping the crap comments. It's all about forcing everybody to use G+. Yeah I didn't mean they updated the comment section because of crap comments; I ment that even though 99% of the comments were crap, I'll still miss freely commenting and reading some of that crap left by pure idiots (I mean, the brain farts of some people just made my day) :( Right, and agree. But somewhere I read that Google claims this is to keep the comments free of trolls, and of course nobody believes that. I agree it's better to put up with the trolls than have Big Brother deciding what we're allowed to see.
