Last winter (sorry don't have references) someone at a university called 911 to report a student with a rifle concealed in his backpack.

The Barney Fife A-Team rolled into action, locked down the campus, Had legions of SWAT, military, secret police, APC, etc. swarming the campus.

Turns out the student in question had an umbrella stuffed into his pack and had no idea what was going on.
