What's creepy is that the hotel guests were drinking dead-body water for two weeks.

I lived in that general area of Vancouver at the time, I recall hearing about this story.

I'd be interested in knowing if she had psychiatric problems in the past.

what's even more creepier is that this incident resembled the movie Black Water made 8 years ago.

She ultimately discovers that a young girl named Natasha Rimsky drowned in the building’s rooftop water tank, which caused the water to turn black. The owner of the apartment building knew about this fact but refused to take action. Elisa Lam’s body was in the water tank for over two weeks, causing hotel guests to complain about foul tasting “black water”.

The ending of the movie is also eerily relevant: The apartment buildings elevator malfunctions and the ghost of Cecilia’s mother braids her hair. Is Elisa Lam’s death one of those ritualistic murders that are synchronistically mirrored in a Hollywood movie?

Had to be an employee of the Hotel. Knew how to get in her room, drugged her. Knew how to disable the elevator. Knew there was a camera in elevator.Knew how to get her into water tank on roof. Loud noise was because water tank had been drained. Raped unclothed body dropped some distance in to empty tank. Water tank was filled concealing body and washing away DNA evidence which Hotel residents subsequently drank.

Wasn't there some weird test that was her exact name backwards, for a resistant strain of tuberculosis or something, at the very same time?

I think in an old thread, someone found pictures of the lobby and it was red, vs. the other floors being black.

the police said that there was no evidence of foul play, and autopsy shown no trace of alcohol or drugs in her system. explain that!

I never found anything too unusual about the elevator video. Aside formt he weird hand gestures of course. All it looked like to me was her saying to someone: meet me at the elevator, and he never shows. She has a playful nature about her in the vid. Pushing all the buttons to tease the person she is waiting for. Jumping out when she thinks she hears them. I just never saw more in it than that.

It was locked after her body was in it , or never unlocked.

PCP is a heluva drug.

It's not complicated. Some hotel elevators take a while to respond. When you jump through the door way the electronic sensor prevents the door from closing and continues to wait. So each time she does it the timer probably resets. Had she just stayed in the elevator and waited the doors would have closed.

Why she was killed...IDK. Perhaps she tried to sit on the barrel and fell inside as a freak accident...who knows how she died.
